Hotel Guest Reviews of the Elizabethan Inn
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 10, 2013

Our stay at the Inn was very pleasant. They have a restaurant attached to the Inn that serves real good meals. Also every Friday and Saturday night they have a lady playing the piano. She plays music from the 60's and 70's. The staff working there are very friendly. The Inn also has a pool that is goes to 7 feet and they also have a gym. The only shortfall I found was that they didn't have a laundry room, but if you drive down the street they have a laundry mat to use. I will recommend this Inn to anyone who wants to stay in the outer banks. ...

The hotel was OK, it didn't smell very good. The beds were a little too hard for my taste. The restaurant food was very good, having the pool there was nice and it was quiet.

This hotel is adequate for a quick night's travel. While the decor is OK, there are clean sheets on the beds and the beds are mostly comfortable.

Restaurant attached was very good with great service. Hotel older and different. Little bit of old hotel oder, but for the price I did not expect much more.

Room clean, but dated. Mattress was hard, experienced neck pain next morning. Pushy maid! We checked in late at night after having driven 6 hours. We were dressed and ready by 10:00 a.m; however, had maid knocking on the door twice. I felt this was uncalled for especially with the rate we paid for this room. Would not stay here again.

We've stayed at the Elizabethan twice this summer, both times to attend the outdoor drama The Lost Colony. The hotel was in a perfect location for us, and seemed solidly basic and reliable. It has a large indoor pool and gym, which can also be used by community members. There is an Italian restaurant on site, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We did not use the pool, gym, or restaurant, except to get ice. We chose instead to swim in the ocean at the National Seashore and eat at several famous seafood restaurants. The rooms have had refrigerators, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, cable TV, AC, shower/tubs, and comfortable king beds. Due to allergies, no pets policy is a plus for us. For an older establishment, it has been kept very well and we will look forward to our next visit. ...

It was clean, but the shower was broken and would not chnge from chower to spout. The ice machine was broken, the pool closed at 9 and our kids could not swim. The frtont desk staff was very helpful and friendly though.

Overall, we were pleased with our stay. For an older hotel, it was clean, however bathroom fixtures could use some repair, towels could be softer and less "used", "thin", and "ragged". It was quiet and the beds were fairly comfortable. Staff very friendly when checking in/out. We would stay there again.
