Hotel Guest Reviews of the Extended Stay America - Austin - Arboretum-Capital Of Texas Hwy

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. The cigarette smell from the hallway and inside the room was there the whole time we stayed. The free breakfast was not good at all it is better to bring your own food since there is a kitchen in the room. Two light bulbs from four lamps were not working

We paid more than
xxx / night and We expect more. Probably if it is cheaper it would not be that bad. Probably if it is
xxx or cheaper.

Measha and Anthony were relatively new to this hotel and I thought they were doing an exceptional job.
This hotel is very unorganized. Wrongful entry was attempted into my room twice. There seemed to be confusion as to what rooms are occupied. When I got there, the first room I was given already had someone in it, and the same thing happened on my 2nd stay

The new staff members are very nice. The acting manager, female, was rude and has a lot to learn about customers and how to be respectful. I've been living in hotels for the last 8 months due to work, and I've met a lot of people in the hospitality business; a refresher course would do this front desk some good. Overall conditions were fair to good for the price. Clean and good location ...read more

We actually did not get to stay at this hotel. When we got there, the hotel was full. They sent us down the road to stay at a different hotel. This hotel did not look like the hotel pictured above. Very frustrating!!!!!!!!
Didn't stay at hotel. It was booked when we got there. Was shuffled around to a different hotel. My review is for a different hotel. Not the one listed above.

The hotel we ended up staying at was fine. The staff was nice. We were frustrated. Didn't know that priceline would book you a hotel that was full. We got there at night and then had to find the new hotel. Frustrating, but the rooms were fine. Small, but fine. My review is for the hotel we actually stayed at. Not the one listed above.

The location was perfect for what I wanted. The rooms were clean and nice
I didn't like my room was automatically booked to smoking. The floor had a strong cigarette odor

Make sure you check to see if room is booked under smooking/nonsmoking

I was given a non-smoking room. I called the day before to reserve it and it was not a problem. It was quiet and convenient to the freeway.

I needed a room for the night....with refrigerator. This room was spacious and quiet. I never saw anyone else on my floor. I requested a non-smoking room (via phone) and was given one. The room was clean and very comfortable for the price. The hotel was convenient to the freeway and easy to find. The only down side was the breakfast offerings....not very appealing but did work. I would stay here again for the price. ...read more

The hotel had trash in the elevator. We alerted the front desk. It was still there the next day. They also charged us $10 more to have as non smoking room.

The location was convenient for the work I was doing in the area. The rooms were spacious and the price was good.

There were small flee-like bugs in the kitchen area of room 417 -- I cleaned the area many times, but they kept returning. I got a smoking room and they were unable to accommodate my request for a non-smoking room. The smell was horrid -- after purchasing some air fresheners, fabreeze and carpet powder, it was tolerable. The street noise was heavy -- but I understand this is not the fault of the hotel. I would suggest asking for room that does not face the street though. The detergent machine in the laundry facilities took my money twice without dispensing detergent. After notifying staff, I received some laundry soap but no refund. The staff were fairly friendly and helpful, but their customer service skills were terrible. The few times I approached the counter, I had to wait 10+ minutes for acknowledgment. Yes, they were helping other (telephone) customers . . . but they neglected to recognize that I was even there. I would encourage the management to teach their people that paying guests are more important that prospective guests. All in all, this hotel was decent and probably worth the rate. I would never bring my family and friends here, but traveling by myself is a different story. IF you are too picky, spend the extra 10$ per night and get a better place. ...read more

Friendly people, great location
The hallway smelled strongly like fish or the spray that covers cigarratte smoke.

This Extended Stay America covers the basics well, with courtesy and a great location. A thrifty choice!
