Hotel Guest Reviews of the Extended Stay America Austin - Downtown - 6Th St.

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Extended Stay is not really a hotel. This is more of a 1 star, not a 2 star.

Location can't be beat for a place to crash in Austin after a night out.
The hotel overbooked. Were initially told that there were no rooms left, but when pressed the front desk did get us into a room bigger than we had reserved. We found several roaches but stayed as we had no other option.

When I was checking in, the clerk at the front desk advised there were only smoking rooms available. She offered to let me transfer my reservations to another Extended Stay hotel about a mile away.
The second hotel had nonsmoking rooms available and I checked in there. The hotel, however, was dirty.

The Extended Stay hotel on South 1st Street in Austin was in poor condition, tired, and dirty. The manager on site made every effort to find a room for me that was at least clean and moved me three times. I finally took the third room, which was still unacceptable and dirty. I would not recommend this hotel. I was not only disappointed in the hotel, but I was disappointed in Priceline for not advising me the first hotel I originally booked had only smoking rooms available. ...read more

The hotel location was great, but the room was a smoking room which it was hard to deal with. We opened windows, spray but it was too much. Also the hotel could invest on some Good Towels
I wish Priceline would of give us the option for nonsmoking rooms

great price, perfect location on 6th street, but not where noise would be a problem. Walked two blocks to our first dinner with live music.

Location, price, and a great staff, nothing else matters. This was a great week.

It was close to everything. Good staff.

It's very, very close to Amtrak if you're coming by train. It's also very close to two Starbucks. If you want to stay downtown this would be the place because it's also far enough not to get the noise. I had a nice stay.

The location and cleanliness.

I would highly recommend this hotel. For the price you pay, the location, the staff, and the room, it's a steal.

The staff was great, more than willing to assist in any thing I needed and or had questions about (ie: resturants etc.)
As stated above the hotel was fantastic, hotel itself was 4 walls and a bed.

There were some very nice touches, like the built-in water filter in the kitchenette sink and the flat-screen TV (with an HDMI input, so I could plug in my work laptop and stay productive).
Water pressure was not ideal and the grab-and-go breakfast could've been a little better (maybe some danishes or donuts or something?). The coffee was good though.

Great location and internet speed was decent. It was also nice that this is a dog-friendly hotel.

Location
Very smoky room was awful for a non smoker. I was given no choice as it was booked through priceline.
