The maintenance people and the maids work hard and do a great job.
Desk clerk had poor customer service skills due to lack of problem solving skills.

Everything was above expectations except for one desk clerk who would not look into the extra charges totaling $362.67 dollars that were charged to my debit card by Extended Stay , he dismissed my concerns on two different occasions without even looking into the matter and told me. The manager told me it was Extended Stays error and I have not been reimbursed yet.

Windows of first floor rooms were left unlatched and open. No safety.

1-star is too high of a rating. The staff was mostly helpful, but... The first non-smoking room I was assigned to had cigarette ash on the table, the windows - on the ground floor - were unlatched, and the phone didn't work. The second room I was assigned to had a half-made bed and the ground floor windows were WIDE OPEN. The third room they sent me to also had unlatched windows, but was otherwise clean. I later realized if didn't have a phone. I did not feel safe in this hotel and chose to sleep in my car the following night, rather than waste my money on that hotel another day. ...read more

The room had a coffee pot & full kitchen including refrigerator.
I waited over 15 minutes for someone at the concierge desk & was told by cleaning crew that I had to wait even longer.

I was not at all impressed by my stay at Extended Stay Woodland Hills. After having stayed at Northridge (the best) & Burbank locations, I believe this hotel is either under staffed or negligently staffed. There is no reason why at 7 pm there should be nobody at the front desk to answer a call or check people in. There was a line of people needing things at the front and the manager was nowhere to be found. ...read more
