Hotel Guest Reviews of the Extended Stay America Oakland - Alameda

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Smoking rooms. The Priceline booled room was a smoking room, but there was no info on Priceline stating this.... very disappointing in terms of Priceline.

Helpful staff, great view of the marina, lots of public spaces, good location in terms of proximity to busses and Oakland. Walking distance (10 minutes) from restaurants.
Smoking rooms were pretty smelly.

Search on Yelp for nearby restaurants. Take the bus and the BART to save a few bucks, or if you're going to San Fran, consider the ferry. Definitely check out one of Alameda's or Oakland's farmers' markets--they've got multiple every day!

Beautiful view of the water, friendly and helpful staff.
ROom was non-smoking, but still had a smokey smell. The staff was really helpful with this and we enjoyed our stay

The refrigerator roared & woke me up at 3am- they changed the refrigerator then immediately but I was checking out. ....Also there were some guests on either the 1st or 2nd floor having a marjuana smoke out which you could smell at the front desk.

Staff was very attentive, room and bed was very comfortable; TV and Wi Fi worked better than most hotels in this price range. Location of the hotel was excellent if you need one in the east bay. Convenient to everything as long as you have a car.
Bring your breakfast stuff.

Good price, safe location, comfortable rooms, make sure you check in advance if you want non-smoking. They have too many smoking rooms and you may get one. Don't expect a breakfast, couple of snacks and coffee available. Staff is excellent. All of them will work to make your stay a good one.

Everything is as advertised. Staff is superb. The rooms are comfortable, bed is comfortable, extra pillows, new flat screen TV, excellent TV and WiFi reception. Nothing fancy here, but safe and comfortable.
Some of the guests don't have much consideration - i.e. noisy early in the mornings. Not hotel's fault...but they do cater to truck drivers, etc.

Hotel is in much safer area than Oakland locations. Efficient, clean and comfortable with a really good staff. Nothing fancy here, no hot breakfast, etc., but for the price it's perfect...

Great staff. Room and bed very comfortable. Quiet, new television with good reception. Wifi worked perfectly.
Too smokey. No toiletries in the room, have to go back to front desk for soap. Have to ask for toilet paper replacement which is somewhat embarrassing.

Only complaint was that this is a smoking hotel. My bio with Priceline states non-smoking room, but the hotel states that its up to them not Priceline. Staff was nice enough to find me a non smoking room, but if they hadn't had one I would have had to take smoking room. When elevator stops on smoking floor you had to hold you breath and close your eyes. Really thick...Priceline should explain this policy better. ...read more
