Extended Stay America Phoenix - Deer Valley

Hotel staff were rude, smoking & basically not guests friendly.

when you check into this hotel, dont expect a early check in, or help with your bags, also when you get your room inspect everything,the sheets, bathroom just everything. Dont expect help from the staff either, their not very helpful the only one that was nice was a girl with red hair and glasses named Zoie and she worked at night! The other staff memebers at the desk didnt have very good customer service skills! my 1st room was horrific, but my 2nd room wasnt bad, just make sure you bring your own lysol wipes to wipe down everything before you sit down on the toilet and go in the bath tub, Because the maids need a different day job if you catch my drift! ...read more

Overall it served our purpose for being in the area where we wanted to be and for a better price than I could find on the companies site with a promotion code, thanks priceline. It would have been nice to know the boiler was on the fritz at check in. I had to find out the hard way, but it only happened once. Having a kitchen is great but the downfall is having to live with the smell of other guest cooking. It sure would have been nice to have a hot tub for the end of the day after shopping or golfing all day. Couldnt beat the price though. ...read more

We only stayed one night and perhaps I expected more from the facility than I should have. This was my first stay with this chain so I did not feel it was comparable with other facilities I have stayed in. Perhaps if I had been staying for a longer period of time I would have appreciated it more.

They don't coordinate well with Priceline. This lack of coordination caused great inconvenience to me.

For the value, I'd say I felt a little burnt, other than that, I was OK with some things, such as the front desk charging a dollar for a little package of coffee, which I thought strange because other homestead suites didn't. The bed was too springy, and I wish I got the bigger room upgrade. Can't always get what I want.
