Hotel Guest Reviews of the Extended Stay America - Columbia - Harbison

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Maintenance of rooms could be improved on. There is something always missing, the tv remote or the iron or something. Toilets have been dirty 2 of the 4 times I have stayed there. Its good enough for me alone on business but not my family.

Overall a good place to stay.

this wasn't a room...it was an apartment! :)
room smelled a little musty

This was a HUGE room! Couch, full fridge, stove, bed, (flat screen tv swiveled between couch and bed), very nice

I was looking for a good deal and I found one. I liked the price. The hotel was OK but that was fine by me.
It was fine. Not great, it could've been cleaner, but for the price, it was what I requested.

I was looking for a good deal on price and found one here. The hotel was OK. There are obviously some people who are living there. It could've been cleaner and the room was a little shabby, but it was a great deal on price and that's why I chose it. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a great deal.

The location was convenient, right off the interstate and next door to Cracker Barrel.
I ended up with a smoking room that smelled horrible. The coffee maker had an old filter still in it with mold growing on it. The room only had soap (no shampoo). My socks got dirty walking on the carpet.

Only after I ended up with a smoking room (and was told by the front desk that there were no non-smoking rooms available) did I notice that Priceline does not guarantee a non-smoking room. I've had positive stays with Priceline in the past (though it's been a while); I don't know if the policy has changed since my last stay or if I've just always gotten lucky before. I was hit with a bad smell before I even got to the room... all the smoking rooms are clustered in one area and even the hallway stinks in that wing. When I first got into the room it was freezing because the air conditioner was on full blast (even though it was chilly and raining outside); I assume the staff was trying to clear out the smell as best they could. The smell biased me against the place and just made the room seem dirty. I was starting to think that maybe it was just the smell that made it feel dirtier than it really was, when I went to make coffee in the morning and found a moldy old filter in the coffeemaker. Then I noticed that the bottoms of my socks were very dirty just from walking around the room. So it probably was as dirty as felt. I have no idea if the non-smoking rooms are just as dirty or not. I will not use Priceline again until I can get a guaranteed non-smoking room. And I would not stay at this hotel in any case. ...read more

this was my 2nd 4 night stay in the last 2 weeks and i can say that I was pleased. The only complaint is that I didn't have a working remote for the tv.
The tv remote didn't work.

This hotel is close to everything. Its nice enough for the 2 star rating

The suites are a pretty good deal, especially for that many beds, tv's, sitting space & a kitchen. The location is easy for getting on & off the highway & is just an exit away from shopping.
The lobby area smelled like cigarettes/gas station. The grab-& go breakfast was horrible. Also, after checking in & getting to our room, it wasn't ready so we waited for that.

Room: Good. We had a suite which was very comfortable & spacious. Breakfast: Worst I've had at a hotel. There were 3 apples, 1 granola bar, a few packets of oatmeal & no coffee cups. It's a grab & go breakfast but there is seating but there's barely anything there to eat. Cleanliness: room was ready after we had already brought our stuff in so she missed a few things which would be expected. That's a big time issue they should work on. Smells: The lobby/1st floor was pretty funky (cigarettes/gas station smell) but our room was fine. Attractions: I noticed a park nearby. Crackerbarrel is in walking distance. The mall, Walmart & other shopping is just an exit down which was handy. Would I stay there again? Maybe, just because it was a good price for the suite but if I were getting a single room, no, because there are other better rated, reasonable hotels in the area. ...read more

The price I received from Priceline was less than half the rack rate.
The room, bedding, and hallway reeked of cigarette smoke.

If you cannot tolerate the odor of cigarette smoke, don't stay here.

Price was reasonable.
The bottom floor is smoking and as I walked to the elevator 2 of the rooms I passed smelled like pot. Overall the bottom floor smelled terrible of smoke. Thank goodness the second floor was fine. The continental breakfast left a lot to be desired.

Ok for the price.

Large open space and a kitchenette with enough kitchenware for 1-2 people to have the comforts of home cooked meals on the road.
Had a bit of an odor but could easily be cleaned up with some febreeze.

Great location with a Publix not too far out of the way. Easy interstate access. Quiet considering the business park like location.
