The hotel was very knowledgeable about great restaurants and inexpensive ways to travel. They also printed out the routes for us.
The hotel does not have a pool.
I truly value the price and location of this hotel. The entire front desk and cleaning staff were awesome. The customer service was spectacular. Chicago can be a very expensive plan for the weekend. It was refreshing to see the front desk advise us of the bus passes and create routes for us to take to get to the Shedd aquarium and other eateries. They provided us with coupons to get free samples and enjoy the sites. I truly enjoyed the free breakfast. They provided waffles you could make yourself, yogurt, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, etc. ...

The front desk staff went out of their way to be helpful.
My room had not been well-vacuumed in some time.
The staff was wonderful. The hotel decor is quirky and interesting. The continental breakfast was good if nothing special. My one complaint was that my room was not properly cleaned. I found things on the floor like a pill and an open safety pin. If I'd been traveling with a toddler or baby I would have been pretty angry that things so dangerous were not vacuumed up.
