Hotel Guest Reviews of the Fairfield Inn & Suites San Diego Old Town

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

This hotel is by far the best hotel in the area.....Tremendous value, great rooms, fantastic staff, wonderful amenities...
Nothing at all..

I highly recommend this property...It is every bit as good as a 4 Star Hote, if not better..... The best deal in Metro San Diego....

The room was just perfect for our stay! We had an enjoyable experience from check-in where the staff was kind and courteous. Our room was a nice size, the bed was comfortable and the hotel had a really nice updated look in the old town area. GREAT HOTEL!

great location, amazing front office staff, nice breakfast, although my window opened up to a brick wall it still overlooked a pretty garden
the underground parking was kind of confusing, i have to park on the street first before checking in and then i can get into the underground with my room key

great place to stay near old town, it is charming and near the freeway which is a big plus, great location for both business and pleasure

We were very pleased with our experience at OldTown Fairfield Inn. The location is great, rooms spacious with microwave, fridge, and coffee maker, great free breakfast EVERY day, free underground parking, and the staff is fantastic. Highly recommend!

The hotel staff is great, so don't hesitate to ask them for recommendations, maps, and discounts to San Diego attractions.

There was free internet access in the room, as well as a refrigerator, and microwave and free breakfast in the morning. We had a third floor room with a nice balcony that had an excellent view of the pool and fountains.
The only draw back was that to park at the hotel cost $15.00 a night. But we were able to find street parking for free.

The hotel was very nice for the price we paid. We had a third floor room with a balcony overlooking the pool and fountains, it was beautiful. There was free internet access in the room, as well as a microwave, and refrigerator and free breakfast in the morning. Overall the hotel was definitely worth the price we paid. The only thing that should be noted, is that it cost $15.00 to park in the hotel parking garage. ...read more

Great room, quiet, safe and only 2 blocks from all the Old Town restaurant and bars. Very, very close to most anything you want to do in San Diego. Easy freeway access, too.
The pool and courtyard area is not on the level of the rest of the hotel. Bathrooms are small with old-style shower-tub combinations. These are minor issues.

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times over the past 3 months and will stay there again. The best Old Town hotel in my opinion.

It was a very quaint hotel. Nice I thought. I was on the street side and didn't hear any traffic. Good proximity to old town. Modern furniture in rooms. Comfy bed.
Didn't know the parking was additional cost, but clerk gave me parking for free. Much appreciated.

Overall, I actually thought this was more of a 3 star hotel. I've stayed at 4 star many times, and this wasn't much different. The building itself isn't much to look at, but do you stand outside and stare at the building when you are wanting a nice comfy bed? Nope!

Hotel had shuttle from airport though it had to be called for pickup. Convenient to harbor and cruise ship.

It is within walking distance to old town. Rooms are comfortable.
Have to pay for parking. If not, have to park on the street.

Rooms are nice and clean. Good breakfast. Can walk to old town.
