I would like to clarify that I had stayed at this hotel twice before (through Priceline) and never had a problem. But I am curious as to how/why this staff member was trained or told to treat a Priceline guest as inferior...

Family Traveling with Young Children
Snacks in the lobby are pretty expensive. There is a Food Lion shopping center with a Family Dollar store just a 1/4 of a mile down the road if that, where travelers can stop and purchase snacks, medicine, toiletries, etc. Of course the hotel desk will provide some things like toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc., upon request.

The hotel gives a coupon for 10% off a small selection of restaurants within the area and a 20% off discount for Denny¿s which is within walking distance of the hotel. (A Big Plus)Here is my opinion of the options that I tried:On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest, The Italian restaurant within the parking lot is a must try. I give them an overall score of 9. The food was very fresh and authentic but the service was lacking due to one waiter on the schedule. I would not recommend the Golden China buffet as they did not have a lot of variety or vegetarian dishes on the hot bar. I would however, recommending their takeout. I would give them a 5.Denny¿s of course is just Denny¿s nothing more and nothing less with their food however, I did like the impeccable service that the waiters provided as well as the food being hot upon arrival to my table. I would give them a 9 as well due to the service and freshness of the food. Although there is not much to do within the immediate area, there are a lot of other restaurants and shops within 10 minutes from the hotel in Front Royal, VA. (They have a TARGET) Please bring lots of water, soft drinks, and snacks of your choice for the kids as the hotel charges $2.00 for a 20oz Aquafina water or Pepsi brand soft drinks. 1/12 oz bags of Chips are $1.25. ...
