Hotel Guest Reviews of the Fairfield Lodge
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 8, 2013

This hotel is close to everything in Gettysburg, and you can't beat the rates! Our room was clean, and came with a microwave and hair dryer. It is a jewel of a place-sort of tucked away, yet convenient. There is a small but wonderful Mom & Pop-type of restaurant next door-perfect for breakfast or inexpensive meals. Not fancy, but good food, friendly staff, and decent prices. We traveled with 2 other families and all stayed here. The hotel has a nice relaxing grassy area-similar to a park. It is small, but nice for relaxing, big enough for little children to run around a bit..but with supervision. Make reservations early, as there are limited rooms. We especially enjoyed the Rupp House Museum in Gettysburg. It has free admission, and is a hands-on experience with well-informed volunteers. The house is full of beautiful, authentic replicas of the Civil war era. Best part-they WANT you to touch everything! Great experience, especially to introduce children to the Civil War! ...

It is only minutes from Gettysburg. Chambersburg and Cashtown are very close. Stores and restaurants nearby. Affordable.

Walls are a bit thin (early awakening due to noisy neighbors), but absolutely lovely place otherwise.
