Hotel Guest Reviews of the Fairmont Newport Beach

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The only thing good about this hotel was the bed. Bed is very comfortable.
No self parking. Valet parking only. Cost for valet is too expensive.

Definately not worth the 4 stars, 3 stars at best. Absolutley ridiculous hotel does not have self parking, especially in a city with a lot space. The mandatory valet parking with the expensive cost for it was very disappointing. I absolutley do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

very comfortable beds and pillows. wonderful tub and bathroom, makeup mirror and nice amenities.
only valet parking is available. They changed the glass coffee maker to the kurig pod system, so it is not convenient or easy to make tea.

I wanted to get a price adv so I used Priceline. The price was fine but they required $28 parking fee with no option for self parking. So in the end the rate was not good. You've got to tell us BEFORE we are given a hotel. Give us a pop up:proceed or not.
See above mandatory $28 parking fee!

See above. $28 mandatory extra.

Great Location and wonderful staff, rooms somewhat dated but still in excellent working order.

Great Overall experience with the staff, valet and front desk were both extremely helpful and happy. Being a dog owner I also appreciated the Dog menu for room service even though for this trip I was not traveling with my dog.

Room was very elegant but comfortable and spacious. All facilities were impeccable. Pool and jacuzzi were perfect and very clean
Location was really hard to find and street signs are hard to see especially in the dark. Street numbers are poorly marked. I got lost twice. Valet parking only

Nice accomidations
It was too loud by the pool with aircraft going by all the time.

This hotel is for business travelers, not for couples looking for a quiet, peaceful gettaway.

Loved the location. Hotel was very nice and the staff was excellent.
I booked 2 double beds and was given a king, had to switch rooms. There is a $28/day mandatory valet parking fee. There was a dead cockroach on the floor of my room one morning when I woke up.

Breakfast is really expensive. Had to wait 20 minutes to get car from valet. No self parking.

Call valet - 20 minutes before you need your car. Don't expect 4 star service from hotel staff. Breakfast is very expensive for a 4 star hotel.

This Fairmont does not live up to the typical Fairmont hotel. The service, the facilities nor the cleanliness. I'm accustomed to nothing but excellence at Fairmont. It's very good and worth my Priceline price but not Fairmont quality. I would stay again.

the maid and bell hop were helpful.
the room was small, no hairdryer or fan in bathroom. the tv remote did not work. the staff was fine except at the restaurant. and the wifi was not free which it should be if im paying this much. I have had a much better room for less money. not happy
