Hotel Guest Reviews of the Fallon Hotel
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.February 5, 2013

The hotel was great it didn't change Mutch from the 1800's to was like going back in time. My wife and I loved it. The staff were great and the atmosphere was perfect. We really want to go back.

We would recommend bringing your own food, there are no stores in Columbia, liqour and wine prices in the saloons tends to be on the pricey side. There are lots of places to picnic just a short walk from the hotels. The resturants are limited to one Mexican and one at the City Hotel, both are more money that we wanted to spend. The atmosphere here is amazing, think of walking down a scene right out of a Clint Eastwood western, perfectly preserved at nite with no cars on the road and nobody bothering you.Sitting in a parlor right out of the old west and the silence its very romantic, the perfect getaway. ...

Very authentic to the era. Clean and quiet. It is right in the town which is great since no cars are allowed. There is a fantastic live theater in the building along with a nice cream parlor.

Unique experience within a state park with decor true to a gold rush town.

The Fallon is a historic hotel and therefore has very small rooms. They were clean and quaint and mine included a toilet and sink with the showers down the hall. It was very quiet and so much fun to be able to walk the historic gold rush street of the State Historical Park.

The hotel is designed to be like hotels were in the late 1800's early 1900's. The town surrounding it is owned by the state of California, and is kept as an old mining town. Therefore, the whole stay is part of a bigger experience. Overall, it is a fun experience, and worth the stay. The free breakfast is good, the staff is helpful, the rooms are small but fun, the bed is uncomfortable, but it's old - what do you expect? There are toilets and sinks in the rooms, but the showers are down the hall (community showers). There is high-speed wireless internet.

Excellent hotel with an old west mining town theme. The City Hotel manager and staff were exceptional, welcoming, and generous. The rooms have charm and are perfectly decorated and perfectly clean.
