Hotel Guest Reviews of the Fess Parkers Doubletree Resort

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The whole feeling of the hotel was sumptuous, which was rather nice. The gardens were beautiful, and the variety of plant materials was quite amazing.
The cost of food was way over the top. $25 for a breakfast buffet is just ridiculous. We did pancakes once--at $15. Never again!

The location is excellent as is the whole ambiance of the place. Avoid the restaurant.

I have nothing good to say about that hotel
I had an awful time and would NEVER stay at that hotel again. In fact, I had such a bad experience, I would not recommend that hotel to anyone. I suggest you take it off your site as a 4 Star as I have had better experiences at a motel 6. worst trip!

It is NOT a 4 star hotel. If you plan on staying in Santa Barbara, I suggest you book somewhere else. The only pro is that they have a spa on the location and I had a good massage. Other than that, I have nothing but negative things to say about the hotel. I would give it a 0 out of 10

The room was excellent.
In spite of the gazillions of parking spaces, we, as guests, still had to pay for parking. $19 seems outrageous for the location and circumstance.

Free chocolate chip walnut cookie when checking in was an unexpected pleasure.
Self-parking fee of $19 per day.

Helpful hotel clerk arranged for us to have a quiet room on the top floor away from elevator.

Location is great, central to all of Santa Barbara.
It needs a bit of an update. The bathroom and doors were a bit weathered. But still clean.

Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies upon check-in.
Expensive $19 for overnight self-park. TV didn't work, but we didn't bother to call for repair. Only there overnight and didn't want to deal with hassle of having someone coming in to fix it while we were in the room. Watched TV on my laptop.

The location was perfect and the staff was very polite and helpful. The pool and hot tub were great. It was also great that they allow pets.....
Parking is kind of far from rooms.
