The room was clean and larger than a normal hotel room

The sign out front is old but the rooms have been updated and the stay was very nice

Exceeded our expectations given its star rating and reviews. For an affordable stay to see Lake Tahoe and ski it was a great location, the room was spacious, neat, tidy and warm and very well appointed. Bathroom has been recently renovated.
Only thing that I didnt like was that the lovely gas fire in the room which keeps the room toasty seemed to come on in the middle of the night on a timer and was a bit too hot at times and often made cracking noises which woke me (not my husband) up.

Very suitable continental breakfast served with lovely fruit salad, waffles, cereal or hard boiled eggs plus more. Great little Mexican and awesome steak restaurant literally across the car park. Many other places a short drive away. Easy drive to squaw valley and alpine meadow ski slopes and I think shuttle may stop outside hotel if you weren't driving. In general this hotel looks like a 2star from the outside but the amenities, location, and actual rooms inside make it an easy 3 or 3.5 in my opinion. ...read more

Room was clean, space was good and location was great!
No. Room met our expectations for price and location. Could use towel racks in the bathroom.

Hotel rooms have just been re-done despite the older looking sign on the street. Staff was very nice and rooms were clean and functional. Even had a mini-kitchen area which was very helpful. Would definitely stay there in the future and was a great value for the price

The location of the hotel is good. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. The room was clean.
The beds were worn out. Our room needs new mattresses in there right away!

It did have a nice view of Lake Tahoe. First time we did not stay at a 3 star or more.
The bed had to be 15 to 20 years old. Terrible!

Like I said they promised a view of the Lake from our room, there was no air but had a plug in fan that was very loud.

Great location and view. Nice to have a microwave and refrigerator.
Old. Needed update on bedding.

Nice breakfast and location. Actual rooms are outdated in decor and bedding. Very clean and nice to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room.

The room was a suite with refer, microwave and coffee maker.
A little noisy with other people moving about, but was quiet at night.
