Bedbugs.
Our room was really nice looking, and the view of the canal was great. We read a review about bedbugs, and we checked our room thoroughly. We found bugs on the headboard side of the mattress. We left immediately. We had to come back the next day to speak with a manager.

little dated, jaded, small rooms, little noisy because we were next to the stairs
The hotel was very basic. Clean, friendly staff but just a little 'dated'. The bar next door that provided the breakfast as part of the price was not a nice place to start the day.
