Fort William Henry Hotel

Don't bother! It was very noisy next door and loud crashing sounds! I called the front desk and they said they would send security up. It never happened! Up all night! No fridge, the desk clerk said rather rudely that I had to order it even though it was listed on reservation! No food service day 2 I am diabetic so this came as an unwelcome surprise! Why advertise an in house restaurant when it's not available in a small town off season with very little food options? ...read more

Central location to everything. Friendly staff. Comfortable room. We enjoyed the pool-nice and warm. Very relaxng, enjoyable time.

the stay was ok, i did ask for a single bed room and was told i could not get one because they were booked but there wasnt anyone in the hotel all night, and the room seemed very outdated, seems like third party bookings get treated alot differently at this hotel

If convince to things is what u want its good in walking distance to everything. Bring your own drinks vending machinces are pricey. Over all nice staff

My friend fully enjoyed his stay at the Fort William Hotel, he is planning on returning there again soon. He loved the view of the lake, the mountains and of the Fort itself. He said the food at breakfast was excellent and the staff was most helpful and curtious. He will definatly stay at Fort William Henry Hotel again in the future, and I will definatly check price line for all my travels My friends comments: Excellent service Beakfast was great. I love this hotel. I have stayed here before. However, I bid on a 2 1/2 star hotel. The room, I was given was not in the main hotel, but in the attached motel unit. The motel rooms are not nearly as nice as the main hotel rooms are. This hotel should not consider the motel rooms as the same star level as the main hotel (not even close).

1920's type accommodation that needs updating in the rooms and property. No elevators in the two side buildings. There were two bus loads from Connecticut that had a senior population. The buses were noisy and people yelling for others to hurry. Rooms in this section had very poor insulation. I would never consider staying here in the dead of winter! The drive to the parking area was blocked with cones. We were told new furniture was to be delivered by the registration desk. When we returned after supper, the buses occupied the area! While we loved the location, we would never stay or recommend this property to anyone.
