Hotel Guest Reviews of the Galeria Plaza Mexico City

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location was great for walking around the city and catching public transportation.
The mattresses are pretty hard.

Overall the hotel is a pretty good value. It is centrally located and accessible. The accomodations are nice and clean. The staff was friendly, and the area of town isn't as intimidating as other areas of Mexico City.

Great location and clean rooms.
Some staff were great, but some were not. The concierge clearly tried putting me on expensive tours were they got kick backs if I went on them. Also, they had no recycling or towel re-use system in place. Also very stingy with extras like room coffee+wifi

Most staff are helpful and polite, but not all. Especially later at night and away from the front desk. Watch out for expensive additions to your bill like using room coffee, local phone calls or wifi in your room. Also, wake up calls re not %100 dependable.

Great location, walkable to some of the best landmarks. The concierge and valets were very helpful.
Our priceline reservation was not in their system when we arrived after a very early and long bus ride. Nancy at the front desk was rude, non-apologetic, and had us wait 30 minutes while she "looked" for it. Not pleasant.

Don't use the cabs outside the hotel unless you want to spend double what the Sitio cabs charge, which are perfectly safe and reasonable. Do walk to the Museo de Antropolgia through Chapultapec parque, it's beautiful. Do go to Plaza Angel, it is an incredible antique market. Not open on Sunday, but Saturdays are great because additional vendors are there, and the shops have wonderful antique items. ...read more

The location was best for our purposes. The service was unobtrusive and responsive when required.
The descriptions we had were fairly accurate. A close relative lives around the corner and he checked out the facilities before we booked - most convenient.

Breakfast is on the pricey side but we were able to find several good choices in the near vicinity. I had to ask for extra hand towels once but otherwise we were well supplied.

The hotel was in a nice area and was nicer than other hotels in the same area.
They automatically put us in a smoking room when we were non-smokers. Also, there were no hair dryers in the room and it took TWO HOURS to get one.

The hotel was big and clean. It had a nice lounge and breakfast the next morning was good. However, check-in took a long time since there was only one person working behind the desk.
