Hotel Guest Reviews of the Gaslamp Plaza Suites
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 14, 2013

The location of this hotel is in the gas lamp district a good location but they have a minimal staff, so you have to fend for yourself.Parking is in an open parking lot right next to the hotel and costs an extra $30 per night. You don't have any choice because there is no alternative. The hotel has a rooftop continental breakfast, very nice.

The Gaslamp has the feel of lodgings from a bygone era. While not perhaps up-to-date in terms of decor, it provides all the amenities that a business or pleasure traveler should need, excepting a full-service restaurant. Breakfast is strictly Continental, although a microwave is available. Excellent location. Very helpful front desk staff.

The room I stayed in was small, but comfortable. The king bed was great and the window seat a nice touch. I only stayed a few days for a conference, but would have appreciated the kitchenette space (sink, fridge, microwave, and dishes and silverware) had I stayed longer. The location was convenient to lots of nearby restaurants and shops and less than a 10 min walk to the convention center and 10 min cab ride from the airport. The staff was kind and helpful and I would stay at the Gaslamp Plaza again. ...

The parking situation isn't the greatest, but the hotel is well located which enables you to walk to restaurants, Petco park, and seaport village. The mini suites are very nice and the hotel has a feeling of history and class. I did hear a woman complaining that her room was wall to wall bed, so I advise you to reserve a suite if you like space. The price was right also. My favorite thing is sitting on the roof overlooking the bay and drinking my coffee in the morning. ...
