Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Hotel is very nice. Not located near any restaurants or major attractions must rent a car to avoid eating at expensive restaurants onsite or take taxi cab which charge $30 one way to most locations. Hotel charges $15 day resort fee and $20 per day for parking. Onsite restaurants are very expensive and food is not very good.

Beautiful resort!!! I was pleasantly surprised. Was scared by the mixed reviews, but when I got to the resort was pleasantly surprised by its beauty and the attentive staff. The pools and gym were great, and the spa was classy. They even had exotic fruit infused water in the foyer. Just wish there were less expensive dining options on property. My son and I had to travel off the resort to find a decent and affordable meal. rental car is a must! Lovely location and place. Beware of the dangerous surf next door in Luqillo though. We didn't read the sign and almost got injured or killed. ...

We did not eat at the hotel. Instead we chose to drive to the Loquillo kiosks. These cafes did not look like much on the outside, but the food was great and cheaper too. We did have two $9 personal pizzas and two $10 drinks at the pool bar when we arrived. If you are content to just unwind and stay put, this might work for you. I, however, found it incovenient. Even though I understand the huge expense of keeping this resort up, I would rather have paid for things that I could use rather than all of the added fees for perceived luxury. ...

The amenities were very nice. There are great pools, great views, access to the beach, and very good food. The golf cart service was a plus as well since the resort is really large. The resort is pretty far away from everything so I don't feel like I got a good feel for Puerto Rico. Our room was far below the standard I expected. There was supposed to be a pullout sofa bed for a third person to sleep on but the sofa itself was disgusting. It was old, dusty and stained so none of us wanted to sleep on the bedding it contained. When we called to complain, there was no attempt to accomodate us at all. Also, no one told us that we could not have any of our items exposed in the room or we wouldn't receive maid service. We came back from a day out to find our beds unmade and no replaced linens. Again, there was no attempt to accomodate us. For the cost, this resort really wasn't impressive. The service staff was very nice but the front desk staff was awful. ...

This hotel has the potential of being a great resort, but needs new management to get the staff in shape or something. The grounds are beautiful, the beach is beautiful, the hammocks along the beach are perfect. The drinks at this hotel are wonderful, (coco martini, coconut kiss) very creative and a lot of thought seems to have went into drink selection. The lounge area at night with bars is great....this resort has a lot of potential, but needs help in customer service primarily.
It is not resort quality, we did select the red level and expected waiter service at minimal at the pool, and the beach as all resorts have this. There were buttons for service in the cabanas, but no one arrives. (They should take them off to avoid the confusion) The staff here is mixed, the drivers of the golf carts are very helpful and attentive, but the front desk staff was slow and unaccommodating. Our room was over 3 hours late and no apologies, but we still were expected to pay full price with no concessions made. The restaurant dining needs some work, the Italian restaurant food was horrible, jumbo shrimp = 2 mini shrimp with cocktail sauce which didn't equal to description on menu. Caesar salad was terrible for $20. Room had possible bed bugs??? My husband and I had these bites all over....not mosquitos. I read similar stories from other reviewers, it doesn't seem like a serious problem, but possibly some lingering bed bug from a past problem?
All in all, this place has resort potential, but not resort service for pricing. If things aren't running properly, the management should make a point to accomodate their guests.....give them a couple free drinks....comp some of the room. Having disregard for traveler's time and money will lead to bad revires and no recommendations for friends to stay here, we have to travel to Puerto Rico all the time, we won't be choosing here again. ...
