Hotel Guest Reviews of the Grand Hyatt San Antonio Riverwalk
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 10, 2013

The hotel is beautiful, the gym and pool will make you want to work out,and it's right on the River Walk and walking distance from great restaurants and main historic sites, like The Alamo and the Guenther House. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit San Antonio. *Tip to save money: Bring your own refillable water bottles and used the gym's filter to fill them up; you'll save $5 per bottle (the rooms price).* ...

Right on river walk but away from noise and nonsense. Great bar and restaurant. Helpful staff and pet friendly. Room service was very expensive but worth it!

My fiance and I enjoyed our stay. It was a block over from the river walk view however, it was still located steps away from the river walk path perfectly between hemisphere park and the market center. Room was very clean and comfy bed. It was humid but we were offered a humidifier for our room which help a LOT! The gym and pool was state of art and very nice. Great recommendation for adults or ppm on business. ...

Thank you for addressing my complaint it is appreciated that you truly care about my stay. I would like to say that overall I am very happy with Hyatt as a company. However, my stay with my girlfriend at the Grand Hyatt in San Antonio was truly a large disappointment. We checked into the hotel on Saturday May 4th and checked out the following day. The room and the pool were very nice and we were very happy with both. The stay started going downhill when we went to the pool. We went to the bar and purchased drinks and went to our seats. But, after spending close to $20 on drinks we get to our seats and see people drinking beer out of coolers they had brought themselves in and fully clothed people swimming in the pool. That evening we made a point to fill out our breakfast card excited about the room service for the next morning. We asked for an 8:30-9am delivery. At 9:10 we had not received anything so I called very politely what was the expected delivery time. The hotel staff responded by saying that we had not filled out a card and that her boss picks them up personally and if they didn't get it then we didn't do it. To that I responded, "So this is my fault?". Which she responded, "yes". I said thank you and called the front desk to complain and to see if we could get breakfast. The manager was nice, but I was never asked what I wanted (breakfast) she quickly made the point that I booked on Priceline and I would have to take points because my credit card could not be refunded. My largest compliant is that no one addressed the problem, asked what I needed, or even apologized until I issued a complaint. It is a large hotel a late breakfast is no big deal if it was dealt with in a different way. At this point I said thank you and we checked out and had breakfast in town. I have never submitted a compliant and I have been traveling for over 20 years ...

First of all, this is a lovely place to stay that I highly recommend. The location, staff, rooms, rooftop pool, fitness center, and public spaces like the lobby and bar are are great. The location is on a quiet stretch of the Riverwalk right next to the convention center and with easy access to Tower of the Americas and other interesting downtown attractions. The room was comfortable and I awoke refreshed and feeling like I had the best night sleep in a long time. I encountered only a couple things that were not perfect during my stay: the valet service was a bit overly aggressive, though maybe people more accustomed to this wouldn't be bothered. The restaurant, though wonderful was staffed be people who were too busty to be bothered with little things like service. The restaurant cooking staff was helpful and proficient; in fact they prepared just about the best omelette I've ever eaten. Stay here. You have a great time. ...
