Good location in heart of bkk. Pool was nice and clean. Staff was smiling and helpful.

The decor starts to show wear and tear.

Very comfortable rooms and great location!
Every time I visit Bangkok, I make it a point to only stay at the Grand Mercure. It is, by far, the best in Bangkok: great location, fantastic rooms, friendly staff and unbeatable price! I highly recommend this hotel to all my friends!

Many amenities.
Older appearing decor/furniture.
Somewhat remotely located within Bangkok, but close to many tourist attractions (especially with inexpensive cabs). Clean and adequately supplied. Smallish rooms, but with all the necessities. Good for the price.

The gym was good, it was open long hours and had a good range of equipment.
Only two elevators, so sometimes had to wait several minutes for an elevator.
Reasonable superior quality hotel.
