Grand Residences By Marriott, Lake Tahoe

I have been past this hotel many times and I finally decided to stay here. I had a great time, and I will definitely stay here again. I stayed in a king size studio with a full kitchen, dining room, living room, large bathroom with a huge whirlpool tub, large bedroom, and two TV's with DVD players. The location is perfect with lots of shopping and casinos within walking distance. There is a grocery store right across the street, so my girlfriend and I cooked dinner and breakfast which was very convenient. We stayed five days, and wished we could have stayed longer, it was like a home away from home. The staff were very helpful, and professional, we were well taken care of. The hotel was fantastic. We'll definitely be back. Location was phenomenal...close to shops, casinos, beach, hiking, mtn biking.

Once again rooms nice but service was horrible. Regardless of whether "owners" get preference if you can't honor a reservation then do not confirm one. There really is no greater inconvenience than telling a guest they may check in but then must repack, checkout only to checkin to another room the following day. In addition they told us when we needed to checkout and our ability to check back in would depend on when the guests checking out of the room .... The hotel location is great; walking distance to everything you need in South Tahoe. The staff were super helpful and nice, spare one sour puss. The fully stocked kitchen was a nice plus. Parking isn't cheap at $20/night but the attendants couldn't be friendlier and the car was always waiting for us when we came down. I loved that! The room was smallish, no great decor but adequate, with one exception: a single queen size bed!! Lower priced hotels offer two queens or one king. A single queen is a bit of a joke at these prices. I guess it's all that would fit in their small room. Adding insult to injury, the couch wouldn't fold out and the hotel does not offer rollaway beds. They don't mess around at checkout time either. We had a great time in this hotel and can recommend it to everybody. This hotel was one of the highlights of our stay in California.

I didn't like that we were given a handicap accessible room. There was no tub...we came to Tahoe to relax and looked forward to a long soak. The internet did not work. I had business to attend to and was unable. The "quite room" we were told we were getting was actually over the outdoor seating of the restaurants. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Excellent get a way. Very nice resort.

The staff was always nice and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and perfect for a romantic stay. We stayed in the one room suite with 2 fireplaces and a huge bathtub with jets, big enough for two! Would definitely stay here again!
