clean, comfortable, excellent location and amazing helpful staff.
nothing at all actually. I was very happy with the whole experience!

Just a 2 min walk from time's square. It's an excellent hotel offering clean, comfortable rooms. The bed was so comfy to sleep in. And if the room was not too big, it was greatly furnished and provided all the necessary amenities and more: free safety deposit box. Enough space to put away all your clothing (and we're talking two girls here with enough clothes and shoes to last someone a month), desk and flat screen tv. The bathroom was also very clean and the staff kept it that way during all our stay. Talking about the staff, they were the friendliest and the most helpfull people ever. They were all smiles and always happy to help and they would go out of their way to make my stay more comfortable and answer to my needs. Really amzing experience. I would go again in a heartbeat. ...read more

The room was pleasantly bigger than I thought it would be.The location was great.
The room was not ready for 2 hours after they said it would be.

The room was a very good size but the lobby was pretty crowded. They could have used more help checking people in. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Very helpful and friendly staff. They were doing all they could to keep everyone happy given then common spaces were under construction. They even delivered everyone's breakfasts directly to the rooms which was very nice.
There are only 2 elevators for 30+ floors. It took a very long time to get an elevator during the morning hours.

All about the location near Times Square!
32 floors with only 2 small elevators means long wait times.

This was the 3rd or 4th time we stayed at Hampton Inn Manhattan - Times Square South and definitely the worst stay thus far. It's not a bad hotel; on the contrary it can be quite pleasant. This hotel truly is all about the location: a scant 5-10 minute walk to the heart of Times Square. The staff is also exceptionally friendly and pleasant. That said, previous trips rated the hotel as a 2.5 star with a lower price. This time the name your price pulled it as a 3 star at a higher bid price. Location and down comforters do not a 3 star hotel make. We arrived on the first day of a major renovation project to the public areas on the first floor. We were informed the free breakfast obviously would not be served in the public dining area due to the construction, but a breakfast would be delivered to our room if we each filled out our breakfast request and turned it in the night before. Breakfast (consisting of a Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich, drink & piece of fruit) arrived half an hour after the time requested, ice cold. We skipped the free breakfast the next 2 days, opting instead for Starbucks one day and the excellent Tir Na Nog Irish restaurant next door the other day. A constant complaint (discussed with other guests) is the elevator wait. 32 floors with approximately 8 rooms each adds up to long wait times with only 2 elevators, 1 of which was constantly occupied by employees overriding the floor requests in order to shuffle baggage holds & breakfasts. While the rooms are clean and housekeeping does an excellent job, our room was not cleaned until nearly 4pm each day. There is also hardly any counter/vanity space in the bathroom. Again, this is in no way a terrible hotel. Not bad at all and quite nice at times, but definitely not a 3 star hotel. ...read more

This hotel was convenient, and the staff was extremely helpful. The front desk staff, especially Chris (dark hair with glasses) was very helpful in giving directions and insights.

This hotel had great amenities and was situated conveniently close to the port authority metro. We were happy with the complimentary services.

Great hotel, upgraded us to double even after they stated there was no room. Clean, good location, couldn't have been happier
Hotels were slow as there were many floors and breakfast was pretty good, not great. Both are very small complaints as I really thought the stay was fantastic.

location and cleanliness and very comfortable bed. Great value for money.
bathroom was a bit on the small side but at least it was very clean.

the hotel is within walking distance to everything - you do not have to pay for a taxi as the subway is just around the corner and there are many eating places nearby and Time Square is a stone through away. Great, great location.
