Hotel Guest Reviews of the Handlery Hotel And Resort
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.December 7, 2011

Credit card was charged $100.00 as an incidental expenses fee. 4 days later and it still has not been returned as promised. Also, was not informed at check-in that this incidental expenses fee would be charged. What is an incidental expenses fee, anyway. Parking $12.00! A hotel/motel should never be charged a parking fee for parking on their own premises. Terrible greed.

The staff was so helpful. We used the hotel shuttle and were very accommodating for drop off and pick up times. They were very knowledgeable of events and places to see. The rooms were comfortable and the pool area was incredible. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Not my idea of a resort but it is in the middle of a city. An older property with a golf course next to it.

Old Motel that is trying to claim they are upscale by offering room service.

The staff was excellent we had a minor problem with the mini fridge in the room but it was replaced within 15 minutes, not having an elevator made moving about with little children a bit difficult but overall an excellent stay at an excellent price.

We were given the smallest room at the hotel, 1/2 of a "suite". The bed was a Murphy bed, no more comfortable than a sofa bed. The lighting was very poor for reading in bed, and the TV was at an angle that made it difficult to view from the bed. The room felt crowded with the bed pulled down, and the legs of the bed stuck out further than the bed, causing bruised shins! ...

Even though there were a few things that really were inconvenient, I would stay at the hotel again. I also would recommend it to friends, but I would warn them that when you make the reservations the amount of the room will be held against your credit card. In addition, when you get to the hotel they will hold an additional 100 dollars per night against your credit card for possible incidentals. This did upset me. ...

Hotel staff is pretty friendly, but the hotel is older and it shows.

Good place to stay for a short trip, 1-2 days, room just seems too small. It was a nice surprise to find a fridge and flat screen t.v in the room. They also had a soda vending machine on the floor. Staff was great, no complaints.
