Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western Plus Hannaford Inn & Suites
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 4, 2013
When we checked in there was a young man and women in a tight embrace, kissing and whispering to each other; we assumed they were staying at the hotel. Walking around them to the desk, we waited a few minutes looking around. We were sure surprised when the young woman finally extracted herself from the young man, saying "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you come in." She then walked around us to the other side of the desk--she was one of the desk managers! Completely unprofesssional. Because she was in such a hurry to get back to her boyfriend, she also neglected to ask us if we wanted room service. What a surprise to find our room untended and no towels when we arrived back that evening. We called the front desk and another desk manager brought our items to us and explained the way room service worked. We did report the young woman, so hopefully, no one has to deal with such unprofessional behavior. Also, if you are planning on using the pull-out bed (sofabed) BEWARE! The sofa bed in our room was only about 3" thick--the second night, I placed extra pillows under me and slept on them! Management must not get many people using the sofabeds since the extra bedding I found in the closet was threadbare, with holes in them. Other than this, the room was very clean, as were the hallways; no odd smells, etc. The complementary breakfast included an omelet station, which was wonderful. But, why was there a tip jar at the omelet station? If it is part of the breakfast, then pay the person making the omelets for doing that job--don't make patrons feel as if they should pay her. I would stay at this hotel again, but I would definitely ask about the sofabeds should I need one again. ...

I would stay there again at the same price I got for the recent stay, but no more. Pros: 1) One of the most comfortable beds I have ever experienced in a hotel (was on par with high end places like Omni & Westin) led to great nights of sleep. 2) Accommodating staff - we had to stay an extra night and the hotel was able to give us that extra night at the same rate we had paid through Priceline for the previous days/nights. Greatly appreciated. 3) If you have to stay for multiple days/nights, the suite was nice because it really helped separate the "work" time from the "relaxation" time. 4) Wifi worked perfectly and was extremely reliable. Cons: 1) The Eggs/Omelets at breakfast are horrendous, no taste or fluffiness, almost like they're brutally artificial. Stick to the cereal. 2) Bathroom in the suite was a cheap remodel job. Paint and plaster were falling off the wall. Whoever painted the walls never passed the paint within the lines chapter of art in school. The shower drain was extremely slow flowing, so I finished showers with 4 inches of water over my feet. 3) "Business Center" is 2 older computers with what seemed like dialup speed for internet and slow scanning. If you have business in town, make sure to bring your laptop and use the wifi and the local Kinko's. ...

Like that it is close to the mall but enough out of the hustle and bustle of traffic congestion. Nice rooms. Quiet stay. Very comfortable mattress. Decent breakfast.

This hotel is rated 2 1/2 stars, but I would rate it 3 1/2. It's location makes it a "natural pick", across the street from the fabulous Kenwood Town Center, close to I-71 and I-75, access to many upscale restaurants, clean, quiet, and all rooms are suites. Nice hot breakfast, omelettes to order, 24 hr coffee
