Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 9, 2013

see above. there is a starbucks around the corner if you want to save $25 on breakfast. good helpful staff. concierge woman very detail oriented and hard working, will bust a gut to find out in 30 seconds the answer to any question she doesn't already know the answer to concerning the town, a particular restaurant, etc.

This is a great location. I have stayed at this facility many times. The rooms are clean and spacious. I've had two issues. First, the place can be noisy. As they explained to me at the front desk, "the building is older and has certain quarks." One of these is noise. This time it was an ice machine outside my door. A few times ago it was elevator brakes. If the noise bothers you ask for a different room. They recognize the problems and are willing to accommodate your request to move. Heck, it's Chicago off of Michigan Avenue, bring ear plugs. Second, occasionally there will be HVAC problems. My room this time stayed unseasonably warm despite my efforts to control the thermostat. There was a large temperature differential which is obvious when walking out into the hall. Brrrrr. You also have to be willing to sleep and do your personal business surrounded by pictures of freaky photos of has-been rock stars. It can be creepy depending on your appreciation for such "art". It is the Hard Rock Hotel so expect that it is filled with images of glossy-eyed, large hair zombie looking dudes and dudettes. There is a reason most of these guys and gals were limited to the radio waves. It's just a bit unsettling to have them stare at you in the bathroom. Lastly, I don't like the complimentary shampoo. It's some kind of Grassy or Weed something or other. Nasty stuff. Bring your own, don't inhale. I travel often to this area in Chicago. At the right price I do not hesitate to stay at the Hard Rock. They've got a very friendly crew and good funky karma. ...

Prime location, nice rooms. Has restaurants and a bar in the hotel. Those are convenient but kind of pricey. However, you will be in the heart of the Loop, so go out and explore! There are lots of great restaurants within walking distance for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Nice hotel on Michigan Avenue, close to everything. Only drawback was that the room was beaten-up...
