Other than the rusted cooking utensils and the smell of old carpet, the hotel was great and had great staff. My friends and I wanted to be close to the beach and for the price we paid, this hotel was a great pick. All we had to do was take the ferry less than 10 minutes away to Port Aransas and we were surrounded by beach instantly. Nice, clean and lots of space in the room good breakfast and nice friendly employees.

The reviews on Priceline were as old as 3 months and were very fair. The reviews on Google were as recent as a week old and very negative. I figured since it was just 2 nights I could handle it. The room was in EXCELLENT condition, Highly Recommend!

Hotel was older than I expected but well kept and very friendly staff. Overall good experience and great bang for the buck. I would stay here again.

Easy to find, located by marina where we went fishing, close to ferry, very reasonably priced.

Not much advice here because I cannot compare with the other hotels in the area. I advise the owner of this this place to change the old dirty carpets and get rid of that smell! I had nasal infection symptoms after two days, which disappeared when I got home.Responsibility falls on the owner or manager, and these cleanliness issues are easy to remedy!I am sure the places in Rockport and Port Aransas are more expensive. Just know what you might have to tolerate here if you really need to stay in Aransas Pass.In fairness, the room had a clean refrigerator, sink and tub. the shower curtain looked good but smelled like a dirty diaper. Again, those of us from the South know you have to bleach occasionally to remove odors that arise from the high humidity. The maids did not clean the toilet after our first night.On arrival I was concerned about safety, but the hotel was bordered by a very nice development in the back( where our rooms were) and there was open space in the parking lot. Not a probelm with that. The a/c worked, and the breakfast they provided was ok, with plenty of selection.I visited here just to see my old home town- from the 1950's.
