The setting was charming. If you are interested in a diversion from the large national chains and enjoy a country setting, this is the place for you.

This hotel was great for family fun. The people who work there are wonderful, really patient and they always seem to be smiling. It had many attractions so if you have kids they wouldn't be bored even just staying on the hotel grounds. There is hiking, a pool, farm animals, two playgrounds and a beautiful lake to sit around. The store has a great selection of items for sports fans, fashion, and kids and also some hard to find treats and items. The room had a lived in and a little worn with love feel to it. It was private and had a huge television, and a large comfortable bed. The woman who cleaned our room was really sweet and accommodating and she did a great job. The breakfasts were so good, and they had such a wide selection~ if you could think of it, then it was probably there. It is really close to many local attractions. Honestly the worst stay I have ever had. The business center was an old computer with an even older printer, the business center is in the hotel lobby which closes at 7 pm! I got to the business center at 6:50 pm and the place was already locked up for the night! The cable did not work on about half of the channels, stains on the sheets, long black hairs in the bathroom, crud on the sink counter. The bed was pretty bad, the walls were so thin I could literally hear the guy next door snoring. There is no desk in the room, just some end tables! I've never stayed in a hotel at any price point that didn't have a desk in the room. The continental breakfast was a bag of bagels, a bag of bread, and some yogurt that tasted like it was stored improperly and had a bad taste and texture.

For the $$ this was a reasonable place to stay. Proximity is advantageous while maintaining a quiet off the main route ambiance. The rooms need updating as the old console TV cabinet remains in the room while a flat screen is mounted on the wall. The mattresses were clearly aged and the shower insert showed signs of age including discoloration and rust from the screws holding the hand rails. A complimentary coffee service in the lobby is offered and nice. The onsite restaurant is seasonal and closed until early march so no review though the menu presented buffet style offerings with no hard drinks at fairly high prices. Many dining offerings close to this location made this a non-issue.
