Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hillwinds Inn
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.Sort by: All Travelers | Business Traveler(1) | Traveling as Couple(5)

Convenient location; pleasant surroundings; good afternoon snacks and morning breakfast.
Would have preferred a king-size bed rather than 2 double beds.
Very convenient to all that blowing rock has to offer. Clean, comfortable accommodations with afternoon snacks and breakfast provided.

The wine & cheese reception was excellent.
The floor in our room did not appear to have been mopped after the last pets were there.
The check-in and check-out was very quick. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Clean room and great location.
No microwave and small refrigerator not working right.
I thought the room was very clean and the staff was friendly. Price of room was a little high. Free breakfast was good.

Overall, I was very pleased with our stay at Hillwinds Inn. It is in easy walking distance of things in Blowing Rock. The rooms were nicely done. They seem to be really trying!

Proximity to town
The hotel did not have our priceline reservation when we arrived.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. To compensate us for our trouble (priceline reservation was not received) they upgraded our regular room to a private cottage.
