Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton Albany
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 8, 2013

Good place to stay if you need to be downtown. They are renovating the lobby area - so it is a mess right now!

Smack dab in the middle of Albany. Decent restaurant, good service. Room decently appointed; very comfortable bed.

When my girlfriend and I arrived nobody greeted us or even offered to help with our luggage, they instead insisted to stand their and watch us. When we got into our room, the tile in the bathroom did not look even the slightest bit level and the shower head looked as though it was hanging out of the wall with no cover for the pipe coming out of the wall. The temperature of the room was 79 degrees so I set the thermostat to 65 hoping that it would come down. Instead the room continued to heat up while we were at dinner and out on the town to a roasting 82 degrees. We ate at the hotel restaurant which was not a good experience, the food was good, but the server was atrocious. We were the only people sitting in her section and she only came to take our orders and serve us our food. The only good thing about this hotel was how close to the downtown nightlife the hotel is. ...

Location of hotel is downtown. Nothing going on in this part of the city on weekends, we wanted to go out for dinner but had to return to hotel because nothing was open. Hotel is listed as 2.5 stars, but could be higher, or was higher in the past? Was a little run down and in need of updates. I would stay there again without trouble.

The hotel itself and the room were pleasant. The room was very cool in temperature and had a good size mini fridge. We had a nice view of the capital building. The parking fee was nominal but it would be nice if they did not charge at all. The pool was closed with no information on when it will be reopened - that was a big disappointment.

Form arrival we were greeted by a rude concierge, there was no place or time to remove luggage, so the trip from the car park was a bit to far and then we had to walk through the paint fumes, the bed had hair in it, the fridge had food in it the trouble was they were not ours. Our over all experience was quite bad.
