Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton Checkers Los Angeles

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Great room and spacious bathroom area.
No pool only a jacuzzi at least that's what the front desk told me.

Did not like the fact that it was an express hotel, meaning it is very small. The lobby is about 600 sq feet. Very boring atmosphere.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful hotel! The bed was comfortable and everything was clean! Within walking distance to several restaurants and even the Grammy Museum.

The staff were very friendly, the rooms beautiful, the location, perfect!
I understand the valet parking was $40 a nite, however, around the corner @ Pershing Square,$16 a nite !

We only spent one nite, however, all the staff very friendly, very attentive, very nice clean rooms & hotel. Great location.

the staff was so pleasant and helpful throughout our stay, the room was clean and the beds were very comfortable.
the one issue was the valet parking was a little costly

I stayed at this hotel several years ago and was not happy with the staff or rooms so I was not to happy when this hotel accepted my bid but on this stay I was very pleased with the staff and room.

staff didn't mention that you needed the key card to work the elevator..seems like a logical thing to mention when you check-in. Also, we tried to call room service at 11 pm And no one answered after several tries, we gave up.

This is a tiny 1920s luxury hotel that is being maintained at its original quality ... It was built to last. There are no views as the building is a 30- foot wide sliver sandwiched mid-block between much larger buildings - but inside it is perfect...

A beautifully designed and maintained Twenties luxury hotel that has a feeling of substance and quality that makes you realize what is missing in the gimcrackery of newer structures.

Staff was great. Bed was very comfortable. Location was ideal.
Small rooms. The pool and other common areas were under construction without any sort of warning. Breakfast should have been included.

The price you pay is inflated as with most hotels in the 4 - 5 star category. The amenities and technology in the rooms didn't correlate with the price nor the level of stars this property has been given. The staff was excellent however.

My room had a great set up, with a large comfortable bed and the bathroom was quite large and spacious.
The lobby and bar are quite small along with expensive parking

Awesome location for downtown, beautiful boutique hotel!

Excellent stay at the Hilton Checkers. Parked in the underground parking next door for $24..that was expected as it's downtown. $7 cab ride to the staples center. The hotel is in a great location. Room was a bit small but had very elegant furnishings, this is what you expect from a 4 star! Was not dated at all. Rooftop jacuzzi was nice. Overall a great stay, try walking 4 blocks to Sugarfish if you want some awesome sushi! ...read more
