Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton Garden Inn Covington/Mandeville
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 30, 2013

Great room for the price. Very friendly staff. The pool and hot tub were nice and the room was clean with a comfy bed. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is mostly clean and presents well. Although one of the "clean" glasses had a clear lip print. If you book through Priceline, they wont let you change the bed type-saying it is fixed via Priceline. I simply wanted a King bed since I was alone. Wouldnt it be better for the hotel to rent the double to more people? Clearly they are wrong. Why blame PL when it is probably hotel policy? They advertise at the front desk there is a lever on the bed to increase/decrease air volume for comfort. Never found the lever. The service staff work hard and are friendly. Breakfast was a nightmare. It is supposed to be a buffet so I expected to serve myself and perhaps have an omelet station. Nope. They seat you, no menu. Flat rate of $10.95. They have a banner up near the cooking area that simply lists hot food items the wait staff order for you. Without a menu or having to serve yourself, you have no idea that they only serve sausage links or the hash browns are diced, not shredded. You also dont know that waffles are self-made until you order one from the wait person and he has the uncomfortable position of saying "make it yourself". You also are expected to get your own coffee. And oh how slow they were. I over heard one man whose order had been lost twice-I dont know if he ever got his eggs. I know I never did.I waited for 25 minutes for scrambled eggs and sausages. Made myself a waffle. When the staff asked had I sprayed to griddle, no I hadnt. She proceeded to open the uncooked waffle and instead of discarding it, she sprayed fake oil on my waffle-making it chewy. My bill was about $5.00 and my banana was $2.50 (really?). I have no idea if these were the correct prices because there is no menu. ...
