Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton London Olympia

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The cost was quite unbeatable, considering London is awfully expensive.
There was a tray in the room desk that had two 0.75L water bottles (4 pounds!) and two Pringles short cans (5 pounds!) with a sign sayong that if you *removed* them from they would be charged to your room!!!!

Nice neighborhood, groceries nearby, bus stop nearby, tube within walking distance (20 min), noisy room, bathtub was dirty and worn out.

A double bed even though I'm a single traveler.
Not particularly close to an underground station. Charge for wifi.

Modern building. Smallish rooms though decent size for Europe. Nice double bed. Fast internet connection, though paid just shy of 15 Pounds per day for the connection.

What I liked best is when I was checking out.
1) The 'quite room' the receptionist gave me had my bed was against the wall of a service elevator on the 7th floor whose metal doors scraped something each time it opened and closed - every 3-5 minutes. The bath tub had mildew. When I explained I could

This is NOT a 4 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. I'd give it 2 at most because it is old, shabby and badly needs an upgrade to qualify as any higher star. The staff do not appear to be well trailed and stiff - and a misfit in the 'hospitality' business. Perhaps the staff who are not English do not quite comprehend the language and misinterpret requests - but they try. (which is not adequate for a hotel claiming to be 4 star)The location of the hotel is on Kensington High Street with lots of buses towards central London, taxis and a 10 minute walk from Earl's court if you want to take the subway/tube to Heathrow. ...read more

Nice, typically surban-London neighborhood with some good restaurants within walking distance.
The location is at the very outskirts of Kensington and not easy to reach by underground; selling this as a Kensington location is misleading. Moreover, the extra charge for internet access is excessive and unwarranted.

OK but not exciting. If you really want to be in London, you should choose a more centrally located place to stay.

Well appointed lobby and rooms and decent sized for London.
Not very convenient to the Tube or other attractions

Better than I expected. Not quite 4 Stars, but still nice and probably recently updated. Decent looking restaurant, nice lobby and meeting rooms. No complaints.

Lobby was very nice as were the rooms/bed etc.
Staff weren't esp. friendly

Close to Kensington High Park Tube, relatively large clean rooms, the hotel has a nice gym and free wifi in the lobby.

I was impressed by the style of the room - it was a fair size for London standards. It was a fresh design and was very modern.

Nothing is particular-- it would be a three star or less in the states.
