Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton London Paddington

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

I liked the fact that the hotel is connected to the train station.
The room was old, outdated, and warped. Our room faced an alley which led to hearing clanking of garbage cans all night. It did not make for a restful night.

There are better hotels in better locations than this. The rooms are old and musty. A hospital is just down the road so we heard ambulance sirens all night. Our air conditioning was broken so our room was too warm. The surrounding area was dumpy, too. The £15/night for wi-fi is inexcusable. For a better London experience, go to the West End. I will not recommend this hotel. ...read more

great staff
strange smell, like urine and gasoline in the hallway and room was very far from exit and required going down 4 or 5 stairs to reach.

bed was very comfortable, room was clean, had an ihome unite which was helpful for charging my pad and phone. good minibar and plenty of tea and coffee available.

Large room, clean, good staff. The train station is "inside" the hotel. There yocan have coffe shop, supermarket, pharmacy ... you have only to open the rear door of the lobby and you are there. In the station the train goes to the airport every 15 minute

Easy access by bus, metro and train. The bus is 24 hours. The train stops inside the hotel.

Great location, walking distance or short cab ride to many key Lo don destinations. Room was huge by London standards and was reasonably maintained and updated.
The public spaces in the hotel are somewhat run down. Especially the lobby - which probably is a function of the hotel adjoining the train station. The hotel bar is literally fenced off Friday and Saturday nights and becomes a night club that draws a pret

Overall, for the money that I paid here thanks to Priceline - $100 per night for four stars during peak season - this was an absolutely astounding and unheard of deal for this city. For this reason, we were more than happy to overlook some of the flaws already mentioned. At the same time, if I were paying full price here, I probably wouldn't rate the hotel higher than an 'average' five stars. ...read more

Great location! Room on 4th floor very quiet.
Wish it had free wi-fi. At the least, should have free wi-fi in lounge.

Literally next to Paddington Station, the Heathrow Express left us 5 min from falling into a crisp, clean comfortable bed. It's a few blocks from Hyde Park for a brisk walk to wake up if you'd rather. The room was not large, but serviceable. Good shower a
I did get stuck in the lift. Twice.

Convenient to Paddington Station with easy access to many amenities. Also very close to Hyde Park.
The five pound "tray charge" on top of food costs for room service. The charge was not the service tip but an extra charge buried in fine print on the menu. When I complained about it (politely) to the desk staff they kindly removed the charge.

Elegant furnishings
Wi-Fi is not free in your room! :-(

The staff is very friendly and the concierge was helpful in explaining the London tube system and booking bus tickets for sightseeing. The hotel is elegantly furnished and is kept very clean. We felt very safe in and around the hotel. The rooms are small by American standards but that is to be expected in Europe. Our only disappointment was that Wi-Fi is not free in the guest rooms. ...read more

Location near Paddington Station is excellent!
WiFi is free but slow in lobby and costs 15 pounds in the room! Too expensive!

Pros- Very large rooms by London standards- Room was in very good condition and are very clean. - Large flat screen TV with a number of channels- Coffee maker with coffee and tea with hotpot both provided free in the room- Iron and ironing board provided in the room- Bed was very comfortable. Cons- WiFi is free but slow in lobby and costs a ridiculous 15 pounds in the room! Some construction is underway outside Paddington Station, but I could not hear any of it from the room. ...read more

Paddington stop just outside the front door, a mall with Starbucks just outside the back.
No Internet connection and business center.

Hotel was very nice, room was clean and bright and had a real American style coffeemaker. I am mystified though as to why a hotel of this level didn't have a business center where one could print their boarding pass, or check their email.
