Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton New Orleans Riverside
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 25, 2013

I only stay in 4 star hotels via priceline and I've grown accustom to certain things and think of them as standard. Usually there is turn down service and robes. There was neither. No mini bar or complimentary water and the soda machine only took quarters... $3 worth of quarters. I had requested a room with two beds and they gave me a room with ONE bed. I had to switch rooms after the second night of being woken up by a 6am alarm in a nearby room that I think was empty. The second room wasn't upgraded with the nice make up mirror and lighting that I'm used to. Overall the rooms had cheap renovations, not even swapping out the 1970's pressure balancing valve/trim. This is a SURE sign of a poor renovation and the gunk under the sink/top was just gross. They had no happy hour for guests and even charged $11 for an inexpensive small glass of wine. So they definitely THINK they are a four star hotel. They are not though. Definitely a great 3 star. My expectations would have been less. Actually... I would not have stayed there. The water issue was the most irritating. Make sure guests have access to water without needing 12 quarters or having to go to the lobby to purchase water. Make me feel like a valued customer. I almost felt that they gave the 'priceline' customer with the cheaper rates the crappier rooms. ...

Surprisingly quiet for the location, riverfront and the casino. The trolley stop at the hotel will take you to Jackson Square, café du monde $3 for all day unlimited trips, includes all trolleys.

Honestly I would rather stay closer to the French Quarter and get more bang for my buck somewhere else. I loved the Inn on Bourbon where I had stayed the prior year. 2 nights cost me xxx and it wasn't worth it.

After entering the room, it was clear that the room had not been cleaned since the last guest had left. However, I must credit the staff for working fairly quickly to get me into another room. The ground floor and lobby stay fairly noisy since there is a very popular restaurant there, and be warned, parking is $80 for less than 48 hrs. All-in-all, the hotel is as expected for its star-level, price, and location. ...

This hotel was really nice. The employees were great and very helpful. Parking was a little steep but all in all easy in and out. The street cars access is excellent. Great for families since it is a bit quieter than the French Quarter. Would stay again.

Although the room was not serviced timely and room service was not picked up timely, the Hilton met my needs and my trip was delightful. The bar staff was pleasant and charming. Check in and out was efficient.
