Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton New Orleans Riverside
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 16, 2013

My daughters and I spent Mother's Day at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and seemed eager to answer my many questions. I had asked the staff where we should eat(Landry's, and all our entrees were delicious!), directions to the French Market, and how to get to the nearest Starbucks. To my delight, there was a Starbucks on the second floor. The hotel is in very close walking distance to unique shops, Cajun restaurants, and Bourbon Street. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Every one of the staff members always had a smile for us. I felt safe and well taken care of, too. I hope to visit the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel again,in the Big Easy, very soon! ...

This hotel was really nice. The employees were great and very helpful. Parking was a little steep but all in all easy in and out. The street cars access is excellent. Great for families since it is a bit quieter than the French Quarter. Would stay again.

Our stay was nice. The location is great if you are there to catch a cruise. You are connected to the Riverwalk Market Place, near the trolleys, casino and Bourbon street. Perfect!

No noise overload although it is a big hotel. Location is great, easy excess to all sights.

I usually do not post negative comments, but this hotel was disappointing from the moment we arrived. Dirty towels on bathroom floor. Then, I was actually LOCKED in my room. No joke. Family was in hallway waiting for me and I was unable to get out. They were unable to open it from outside. Houskeeping unable as well. They then called security, and they were unable, so they called the house engineer who was again unable to open the door! Fortunately, this particular (handicapped accessable) room had an adjoining room and the guests were in, so they were able to open the door and let me out. Not an auspicious beginning. When I went to report it to the front desk I was met with an indifferent attitude. No concern or apology. I did request a room change, as I was uncomfortable with the possibility of a repeat problem. I am not a demanding guest and only nicely asked for a room change. I think the staff could have been more concerned and friendly in this and other interactions I had over the weekend. This was my first Hilton experience, and probably my last. I do, however, very much like Priceline and expect to continue using them. (If I had paid more attention to the comment section I may have avoided this hotel altogether!). ...

Located on the Riverwalk with great views on the river side where our room was. Facilities were nice, including a large gymnasium and 2 pools. Note that the gym is an extra fee. It is located on the edge between the French Quarter and the Warehouse district which makes access to either area only a 10 to 15 minute walk. The Creole Queen paddle wheeler is docked just behind the hotel. There is streetcar station at the hotel which takes you to the French Quarter along the river for a fee of $1.25 at the time we were there. Parking was expensive (above $30/night), but I don't know what other hotels charged to compare it with. Note that as soon as, I won my "bid" to stay there I called to request a double bed, but when I arrived I was booked in a single King bed room. They were able to change it to a room with a double bed but guests may want to double check before arriving. In all I was very pleased and would be happy to stay there again.
