Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton President Kansas City

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Great location, beautiful hotel, nice staff. Beautiful banquet room for breakfast. Fun with lots of weddings and happy guests.
Bad experience might be my fault because I did not call front desk or ask for another room: all night long our floor vibrated from an incredibly loud noise either below or outside our room. Sounded and felt like an engine room. Should have said something.

As we were having a few guests visit us after dinner, i reserved a junior suite. However, due to water damage in that stack, we were given two adjoining rooms instead. They were beautiful and well appointed, and easily accessed from the elevator. Loved the mattresses and there were four pillows on each bed, and unless i'm crazy, they were of various firmnesses...which i really appreciated because i don't like the really soft pillows at most places. The hotel is lovely and there was a fun vibe with four wedding parties staying at the hotel. The downtown location is great...walking distance to all the theaters, Power & Light District, restaurants, Sprint Center. Easy parking with security. My only suggestion is DO NOT STAY IN ROOMS 128 OR 130!!! Although lovely, we did not sleep a wink because of a loud and vibrating sound either below our outside our rooms! In all fairness, we did not notice the sound when our guests were visiting us, but when we turned out the lights and music, and tried to fall asleep, it was like the engine room of a cruise ship!!! And there was no way to ignore it. I can only assume other rooms are quiet and cozy. ...read more

The hotel was in an excellent location for our needs, the room we received was clean & comfortable. We bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the curtains blocked the lights and we slept very well.
The room we booked through priceline was supposed to be a Jr king suite but they told us we were downgraded to a room with one king size bed. We had booked in advance, so were disappointed & surprised they could do that to us without notification.

The hotel was great, I have no complaints on the room, nor location. The hotel was in walking distance to the Sprint Center and the entertainment district. I used the valet parking at the hotel, which was easy and quick. I don"t know if this was caused in the parking garage or the drive home, but, when I got home I found the emblem was missing from the front of my car. Also, the hotel did give us a free breakfast because they downgraded our room. The breakfast was awesome. When I go to the Sprint Center again, I will try to stay at this hotel again even with the couple issues. ...read more

Great location when attending concert at Sprint Center and going to Power & Lights District!
VALET PARKING WAS HORRIBLE!!! It took me 50 minutes to get my car from valet...they had the cars parked all around. I had to go to front desk to voice my concerns.

The location was terrific! The rooms was adequate for our stay and was clean. My biggest complaint is the valet parking. The lobby was full of people waiting to get their vehicles. They should either staff themselves to not make the wait close to an hour, or find a better way to locate/retrieve cars. The gentlemen that were working ran 90 to nothing the entire time I waited; however, they didn't retrieve cars in the order they were requested. I was one of the first to check-out...and multiple people coming down after me received their cars way before I received mine. My parking should have been complimentary if nothing else, especially when I had to alert the front desk I'd been waiting 16 minutes shy of an hour! ...read more

lovely old hotel in excellent shape, nice staff, had a star bucks in it, what more could you want :)
no microwave or mini frig, either or both would have been nice.

very close to the convention center and stadium and the hiway, pretty easy to find. we save on parking at the convention center by leaving our car at the hotel and walking everywhere :) would have liked a mini frig and a microwave...but other than that i was very pleased with the staff and room.

Located only 5 minute walk away from the Power and Light District. Decent view from the 11th floor room we had. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful.
The service in the hotel restaurant at breakfast was pretty poor. Our waitress disappeared before we got our bill, so we just left cash on the table and hoped it was enough!

Liked everything about the hotel except for the restaurant service. I would definitely stay there again

Excellent location within walking distance of Power and Light.
Very noisy on the weekends.

This is a beautiful hotel with wonderful renovations. It was conveniently located; we were able to walk to Power and Light and it was a short drive to the Plaza. My word of advice is that it can be noisy on the weekends due to the proximity to night life. There is an easy remedy though, upon checking in, request a room on the 13th floor. This is at the top of the building, separated from the rest of the hotel by the ballroom which is on the 12th. We were even in one of the rooms without a window, and it still proved to be a very nice stay. ...read more

Good beds.
Too pricey -
$30 for in room sandwich for 2 and ice machine not working on our floor.

Best for business traveler with expense account.
