The food was great and the view was second to none (my room was on the 11th floor facing south). The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for some time. The towels and toiletries provided were very nice.
Be sure to check that you are paying the same rates from your reservation. I was charged an extra xxx
per night but when I pointed the discrepancy out to the hotel's financial department, they fixed it right away.

This is not the place to go if you are trying to save money. There are extra fees for parking, internet, etc. However, if you want to escape and live in luxury for a while, the Hilton Bayfront is not a bad choice.

Location and newness.
The pool and jacuzzi areas were overrun with people. Pool access is not restricted to guests only with a room key. We observed numberous non-guests entering straight from the public walkway.
Nearly new, clean and nicely appointed rooms. Worth upgrading to a bay view room. Great location on the bayfront walkway and easy, safe walking to Seaport Village, Petco Park and Gaslamp Quarter. Good choice of nearly restaurants. Only downside was that the pool/jacuzzi area was not restricted to guests only. The gates to the outside were unlocked and numerous non-guests entered directly from the public walkway. We did not use the pool/spa because it was so crowded. Would definitely stay again. ...

Not really. But I think the charge for parking was A bit excessive.

The location is fantastic. On the water and close to the activity in downtown San Diego. Out the back door and you're on the boardwalk that will take to all the way down the waterfront... plenty of things to see. Nice pool area.
The staff seem a bit indifferent to our needs. Not many supplies in the room. Only two large towels in the bathroom.. many hotels leave four. We had to call housekeeping twice for extra T.P. I expect more from a Hilton hotel.

The location. Close to Gaslamp and Petco. Nice views. Very new hotel.
Valet was $40. Self parking was $28. Very confusing to have two hilton hotels so close to each other. Went to Gaslamp hilton first by mistake.
Overall very nice hotel. New. Didn't stay there long enough to really explore all it had to offer. Price of
XXX on a Saturday was unbeatable.
