Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location. near the sea
Dirty. beware of bugs but the Hotel won't do anything about bugs. Parking fee $28 per night

I stayed with my kids on May 26. My son got bug bites on face ad neck area. So, I reported and complained it. Also, I took several pictures for evidence then showed to them. After a day, I got a call from a lady who seems to work at the Hotel. She said she can't do anything about it. And bug bites are nature of this world. And even they teased me, 'if you have right solution to get rid of bugs, please let us know'. They didn't even say 'apology'. And even the bugs might followed with us. This hotel is worst. Don't waste your money. If you have extra money, don't care about yourself, and want to still ruin your trip, then this is the right hotel. ...read more

High-end. Clean. Great view. Just minutes from restaurant. Pet-friendly.
No frig. They don't carry extra Kennel even though website say they do.

We stayed 2 night Friday-Sunday in a Bay/City Skyline View 1 King Bed for a small getaway. Gorgeous view-the bay and city. High-end hotel. Bell boy/staff super friendly. Hotel pet-friendly. We brought our pitbull and didn't expect everyone to be so friendly. Everyone wanted to pet him! Called front desk for a kennel but they said they don't carry them even though their website said they have "limited kennels and bowl" we had one in the car but it was convenience for us to have one in the hotel and in the car. No big deal we just brought our up instead. There is a Dog Beach just a 15mins drive out which is def a place you want to take the time to go out and visit if you have a dog. Glaslamp "night life" is just across the street maybe an enjoyable 10min walk from here. Outside the Hilton is a nice water front where you can enjoy night walks or morning jogs! Room itself was clean and bed was super comfortable with thick linen. Con-there was no refrigerator! For the price we paid they should have one! They did however provide three $3 water bottle on the desk? Parking is expensive. They charge per day with in and out visits. Wifi there is a charge, we didn't pay for it because theres so much to do why stay inside!? Please visit d-Bar. Dessert there are amazingggg! Would book again. Worth it if it's less than 2bills a night =) ...read more

helpful Staff and the view was gorgeous!
Bathtub looked a little old, I could still smell the bleach in the bathroom from when I first arrived to my room.

Staff was very helpful, location is perfect and restaurants very good.
Parking costs between 28-40 dollars.

Great location in San Diego. Across the street from PetCo Park and the Gaslamp Quarter. Very high parking costs.

Beautiful inside & out! Prefect ocean view!
When we arrived @ peek checkin time there were only 3 staff checking guest in! Also, when we got 2 room we found a nasty wash cloth on the bathroom door handle & when we told housekeeping Supervisor she acted as if we were wasting her time by telling her!

Overall great hotel! We have stayed @ The Hilton plenty of times without problem! The dirty towel was an isolated issue just didn't care much 4 the response that we received from the Sup! We didn't bother telling management!

Location was excellent. Perfect for the convention center and gaslamp district with great views of the bay.
Food Menus were not very robust.

The food was great and the view was second to none (my room was on the 11th floor facing south). The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for some time. The towels and toiletries provided were very nice.
Be sure to check that you are paying the same rates from your reservation. I was charged an extra xxx
per night but when I pointed the discrepancy out to the hotel's financial department, they fixed it right away.

This is not the place to go if you are trying to save money. There are extra fees for parking, internet, etc. However, if you want to escape and live in luxury for a while, the Hilton Bayfront is not a bad choice.

Great views, reasonably-priced self parking.
Somewhat difficult to get to, given the streets in downtown San Diego (one ways, etc).
