Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton San Diego Bayfront

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Room was great, valet parking and delivery of luggage great.
At check in I was offered a Rm upgrade $20. OK. But I was not told that there was Tax on the upgrade as well as tax on the room itself. Should have told me upfront, I would have passed on the upgrade. When I called they dismissed my complaint. wont b back

This is a great hotel the view and location is perfect close to gaslamp district without the hassles. However, if they offer a "Room upgrade" be sure you understand that the hotel charges you the same tax on the room upgrade in addition to the room istelf -a nice double tap tax. This may seem petty, but if your on a budget or traveling with group/kids and have adjoining rooms and think wow an upgrade fo ronly $20.00 a room-that can be a bit of $$ when you check out that you were not expecting. Also Valet parking is an additional $40.00 per night self parking is $28.00 and there isnt always room. Hotel is really for business travelers and large groups as for family with small children its okay I didnt see many. ...read more

Great room, nice location near the gaslight quarter. We enjoyed walking there and seeing all the restaurants and activity. Also jogged in the morning along the bay pathway. Best of all at an amazing Priceline price!
They charged $40 more than the Priceline quote. When I went to the front desk they apologized and said they would fix it. When I got the emailed bill it was still $40 more. I went back to the hotel and they apologized again and printed out a new bill with

Everything! From the location, to the staff, to the room, to the view! Everything was way past my expectations, but in the best way possible.
Parking charge was a little unexpected, but I assumed that due to the location that the charge would occur.

Loved the location and views.
Jacuzzi was dirty. Express checkout was not working.

The public areas are beautiful. The staff was nice. Our basic Dole view room was typical but nice and clean. Sitting out nearby the fire was very pleasant.

The location is great because it's in walking distance of everything.
The view facing the Coronado Bridge is not that great! Warehouses were not good.

Great location but didn't like the fact you have to pay for everything! Internet and parking is extra!

Very clean, friendly, and beautiful.
You have to pay for parking.

This hotel was everything I expected from a Hilton, and more.

The room and view were fantastic
missing items from room

It was a wonderful hotel room, the maid that cleaned our room the last 2 days was incredible. 2 items of my sons did go missing after the first cleaning. The breakfast buffet is very limited and not very good and it was over $90.00 for four people.
