Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf And Tennis Resort

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

I hate the hidden resort fees. Last time we stayed at this hotel it did not have one. It is a prime consideration in booking a hotel and I will probably look elseware Just a hidden 20 dollar fee. We were not able to use any of the amenties due to work

The hotel was okay. The rooms were not much bigger or better than a Quality Inn or Holiday Inn for the price.
When I checked out they charged me $20 a day plus $4 in tax as a "resort fee" for use of the pool. It cost me $100 extra for that, which made me very angry. I was not told about that at all by the front desk person. I will not stay there again.

The resort is nice and the scenery is really beautiful. The rooms were dated and not much bigger than a Best Western or Holiday Inn. I was originally told by the hotel that I had been booked into one of their "casitas" or private suites, which had a king size bed, and a living room with a fridge and microwave. When I arrived, I was put in a casita, but it was just a regular room with two double beds. When I called to check on this, they told me that someone must have made a mistake. Then they charged me $24 a day as a "resort fee" because we swam in the pool. I will not stay there again and I am not sure I will use priceline again. This is the third experience like this I have had and I'm not sure it is worth it. What I originally thought was going to be a really great deal, ended up not being any deal at all. I had booked this trip so I could get away on Mother's day weekend and I ended up being very disappointed. ...read more

Location
Hidden manditory $20.00/night "activity fee" not identified by Priceline.....they blamed you. Never had hidden fees w/Priceline before. Cost me an additional $80.00. Not happy about that.

Great location. Beautiful views. Helpful staff.
They charged me a $20 fee that was not included in the original agreement.

Loved the views and beautiful grounds. Spacious room. Great balcony overlooking the pool area.
Would love 2 sinks, a walk in shower and higher counter in the bathroom. I guess a more modern bathroom would be great.

We would definitely stay here again. The rooms while modern and large are showing signs of wear and age. However all the amenities and the beautiful setting of the hotel outweigh these draw backs.

the pool was alright and the lad behind the pool bar.
rude and arrogant bar staff, at these prices you'd expect them to be nice! Hotel room was a joke, AC/heating issues, engineer had to come out twice to manually override thermostat and front desk staff did nothing to help!

as mentioned above....not the best of rooms for us on a family holiday, you wouldn't think it for a Hilton or a resort, perhaps this is normal? Shame because this hotel has beautiful settings and surroundings spoilt by a certain few staff whom were not at all sympathetic about the climate control issue and in general were rude and unwelcoming....perhaps this wasn't the place for a family break? I'm not one to make a fuss or complain as I rarely find the need, I simply will not go again to this hotel! If you are looking for a snobby, fake, elitist and overpriced drunken adult atmosphere , this is the place for you, if you care about your children then save your money and stay somewhere else! Would like to mention the kindness and warmth to the young gentleman porter (wish I'd got his name) working the club car main entrance w/end that offered us a ride around the resort...how cool! ...read more

The location and view, and the 'resort feel' is always pampering!
I just think this is the first time I OVER-paid using the name-your-own price option :-( Otherwise, I was very happy with the resort!

The location was perfect! The staff was friendly and the overall feel of the resort was exactly what I was looking for! The beds were very comfy and the room was perfectly clean. I'll go again!

Rooms were a little outdated but were clean.
There was a $20 resort fee upon arrival that I wasn't aware of.
