Hotel Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Capitol - Washington DC

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Small rooms.

Excellent location for sightseeing. Hotel rooms as such are small, but comfortable.

Good location though no restaurants nearby
Most of the outlets didn't work and the toilet started making loud noises at 1:30 am and the valve had to be replaced. It was also cold and I also had to call repeatedly for more blankets.

Good location, breakfast ok
Ordered/confirmed 3 double rooms - none available, this I believe may have been a Priceline (falsehood) Issue as before booking, while attempting to book directly with Holiday Inn- they stated no doubles available. Bunk bed terrible!

Staff did nothing for us in regards to no double bed rooms available, (confrimed 3 rooms-reservation)made me produce my confirmation papers, apparently did not believe me still did nothing for us. Parking expensive. $30 for 3 days although stayed 2 nights, still charged for 3 days.

Fantastic location. Two short blocks to National Mall and Museums.
Rooms are old but clean. Bathrooms are just passable. No hot water in the mornings! Walls are paper thin. I have stayed at this hotel 4 times and 2 times was disturbed by nearby rooms. The people in the next room over sound like they are in your room.

If you are choosing location over sleep than this is the place. In my experience, our room next door was getting in after midnight and their kids were up by 6:30 AM. They woke us up when they came in at night and when they woke up in the morning. They weren't being loud, the walls are just paper thin. No hot water at all in the mornings! Bathrooms are old and the electric socket pulled out of the wall in our room. Hotel parking is $30 per night. Food in the hotel is poor at best. The breakfast buffet is just barely passable. The plus side is fantastic location. Easy walk to museums and restaurants. Close to Capital building. Two short blocks from Smithsonian Air Space Museum. Close to Metro. Public spaces in the hotel are modern and clean. For what it is worth, I would not stay here again despite the great location. ...read more

Nice staff, very helfpul. They let me do a late checkout (2pm) which was AWESOME for my schedule!
Interior is a little outdated, but I'm just being picky

Great location just blocks from the Smithsonian Air&Space Museum, Mall area, and Capitol! Staff was friendly and made my stay even nicer when they let me do a late checkout. Hotel is in a "business" district south of the mall, so if you're looking for great restaurants and nightlife nearby, stay elsewhere.
