Hotel Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Champaign/Urbana
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 30, 2013

We only spent one night here. We got in almost around midnight but had no trouble checking in. There was a fire alarm at 1am that created a disturbance but the staff was very helpful during this inconvenience. It was a nice room for the night with a large parking lot and easy access from the highway.

I am glad I did not have to stay here for more than a couple of days. While the room itself was fine and there was plenty of parking, there were a lot of other cons that made me wish I had chosen another hotel. The bedroom window looked out into the main lobby, so the shades had to be kept closed otherwise folks on the floor would look up into the room. Other cons: no free breakfast, TV volume in the lobby was blasting until midnight and began again in the early morning. Also, when we called the front desk for complimentary shaving cream and a razor, no one came. I had to go downstairs to the front desk to get those items myself. Find another hotel that provides free breakfast and better customer service. ...

I used Priceline to bid for the hotel. It was 30% cheaper than the regular price when you book over the phone. It definately worth the stay. We enjoyed it.

Family Traveling with Young Children
There were several rowdy groups at the hotel the night we were there. They had banners up, food out everywhere, alcohol everywhere. It was craziness. We came to enjoy a family night away and enjoy the pool but it was so crowded with unsupervised children we were unable to enjoy it. Luckily, we only heard people in the lobby until 1:30am! (haha) Also, we needed linens for the pull out sofa which took an hour to get (2 calls later), but I can understand that because the 1 housekeeper that was there was working her tail off with the amount of people there. Also, there was a problem with breakfast. It was clearly stated in our listing that a "free hot breakfast" was included with our stay. I was charged but showed the cashier the listing on Priceline, so he (hesitantly) refunded that charge. I would not stay here on the weekend again! ...
