Hotel Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Downtown New York City

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Thought the staff was outstanding and they went out of their way to help us. Hotel itself was average - we thought - but perhaps that's what you get in NYC. Would definitely recommend due to such great staff

Good location. Near the train station.
Asked for a non-smoking room, but "there were none". Had to pay for a double bed upgrade. However, a friend booked days later, and it was available.

Easy access to the subway, great comfy beds and lots of space in the rooms.
They had our reservation in their system as May not Mar like my receipt showed. Good thing I had my receipt or we would have been out on the street!

Hotel staff was extraordinary. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Located in heart of China Town and a few blocks away from Little Italy. Half a block away from a very convenient subway stop as well.
The breakfast buffet is ordinary and mundane. Overpriced. One morning it wasn't bad. Another morning it was a nightmare trying to get a table. Had one person busing tables and waiting on customers as well. She was great but needed help. Food poor that day

Hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, professional, helpful and first rate - from the manager, to the desk attendants, to the bellmen, to the bartender, waitress and maids. Everyone I encountered over 5 days was terrific! Breakfast buffet is overpriced for what you get. But it is a nice place to have a big breakfast and plan your day. Get there early though or else you'll be waiting for a table. Food pretty average. Nothing to write home about. There is a Dunkin Donut across the street that you can get a good breakfast at too for much less. A lot of little Chinese restaurants in neighborhood too with great prices and delicious menus. Little Italy's famed Mulberry Street is a few blocks away. Very touristy and restaurants are pricey and hit or miss. The area itself is packed with tourists who are shopping at numerous little venues that sell t-shirts, sunglasses, cheap watches, etc. There is a very convenient subway stop a half block away that takes you to a number of must see places such as Times Square and Central Park. The room was clean, functional and comfortable. Nothing incredible to write home about. Free wifi and HBO. The lobby was clean and comfortable. Free coffee. But you check in on the second floor and often there is nobody around on the first floor so anyone could enter the hotel and just get on the elevators. All in all though, I really enjoyed staying there and would stay there again. Good value. ...read more
