Holiday Inn Express Hotel And Suites Port Clinton

The hotel had a clean, comfortable room. WiFi was free and easy to access. The bathroom was small and awkward (the way the door opened), but clean. We would definitely stay here again. The desk clerk was friendly and mostly helpful, but seemed unwilling to help my husband with a question about TV channels.

Clean and comfortable. The staff is excellent. I've stayed here several times and it remains consistent.

The Port Clinton area really doesn't have very nice hotels. This is one of the better ones located in that area.

Inside urn fountain inoperable. Trash rather than water in it.Spots on the popcorn style ceiling in room needed repaired and painted. Overall, the stay was okay. The staff is top notch.The room was clean and sanitary.

The staff were amazing. However, the pool was heated to high and had a lot of white murky areas throughout it. We also had several water-bugs in our room while staying. The staff addressed the bugs and ensured us that they were just water-bugs but, was still kinda nasty feeling that these bugs were crawling on our children. The staff did offer to move us to another room however, my husband and I thought that moving three kids and all of our belonging for one more night was not worth the trouble since the staff ensured us they were harmless. ...read more

it was good, but did not quite meet the quality we are used to at HI Express. Nevertheless, I wouldn't have a problem staying here again.

This hotel meets it's star level on priceline. Positives: It is close to several destinations in Port Clinton and Sandusky. It had a free breakfast which saves money during travel. However, on the day we were there the hotel was quite busy and they were unable to keep up with the flow of people. The pool opens early and stays open late. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Our room had a small refrigerator and microwave which is helpful when traveling to theme parks because we were able to refrigerate drinks and food to take with us. Negatives: The staff was very unfriendly. We only encountered one staff member who was friendly when asked a question. All the other staff at the front desk were helpful but made you feel as though you should have known the answer to your question or that you were inconveniencing them. The pool area was poorly designed, it was hard to get from hot tub to pool area, which required you to walk all the way around the pool. The tile was so slippery that that was quite dangerous.
