Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Athens

Hotel was perfect, rooms were clean and staff was always friendly. We came down for my sister's wedding which was a little stressful, it was nice that there were no problems with the hotel during the stay to add to the already busy days we had planned, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Apart from everything, having a great staff makes a great hotel. The people at this place, make this a great hotel.

Conveniently located 30 minutes from canton. Great breakfast and some restaurant choices near.

Star rating was too high, it should be a 2 star.

Everything about this hotel was great except for the continental breakfast. We were there 3 days during the Canton Trade Days and had breakfast every morning within minutes of them opening. The first morning they were out of all juices in the machine, and there were no pancakes, coffee was cold. The attendant did not seem to care about keeping things filled up. Second morning the same story, the last day we did have hot coffee, and there was fruit added. We were told they were out of a lot of the breakfast items and had been for several days. The motel was full at the time we stayed there. The manager should have made arrangements to have alternative breakfast items for such a busy weekend such as First Monday Trade Days. Other than the breakfast the hotel was great. Very clean and comfortable rooms and beds.

We were told the day before that the pool was up and ready to go and when we got there the pool was not ready to use left there and did not stay the night.went down the street and stayed at another motel that was a lot more friendleyand the pool was ready.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very refreshing after a long day of shopping in canton to open the door and feel comfort and cleanliness.
