Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites

I felt that this hotel was very good for the price. It has a great location and the rooms are clean.

Staff was helpful, breakfast was OK, shuttle service was a great benefit.

Our room was small and uncomfortable. The thermostat was messed up or something because it was either stuffy hot or cold. Tiny bathrooms made it hard to get ready for the day. Staff was nice. Breakfast was good. It's fine for a day or two, but I wouldn't recommend a longer stay. Overall, the hotel was decent but not somewhere to stay with kids. There was no tub, just a shower in a very tight bathroom space. There was a huge cockroach in our room the first night (we did not see another one the rest of the stay). The continental breakfast was very good.

Hotel in a good spot with plenty of restaurants nearby. Excellent access to major roads and highways. Information and WiFi room access was excellent in planning daily trips and maps. Breakfast buffet was terrific!

The hotel is much better for families and kids, than for couples. We are a couple who were there just to spend a couple of quiet days. It's well furnished, very clean, and offers a great breakfast selection. The pool is small, but very well-maintained. All the staff seemed happy and well trained. The only thing positive about this hotel is that it is very close to Universal Studios where we planned to go the next day. Beyond that, the rooms were dated in need of repair and small. It was certainly not what I had expected from a 3 star hotel. The staff was unfriendly and not helpful. We were given very poor directions for local restaurants and wound up back on the local freeway where we spent an hour in gridlock traffic while we tried to work our way back. ...read more

I would definitely stay here again. Loved the hotel location and the rooms were really clean.

This was a nice hotel for the price. The staff were cordial and prompt with service. The room was clean and comfortable. No complaints overall.
