Hotel Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Express La Jolla
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 1, 2013

I'm not sure if parking would be a problem on a super busy weekend because the lot seemed small, but it seemed to have ample parking spaces while we were there. The staff couldn't be any friendlier. Coming from the LA area, we're not used to that kind of friendliness. The beach is only a short walk away, and if you want something to eat then a quick drive up the street will give you many options to choose from. This was the best Birthday weekend-getaway ever! ...

Was a great hotel for 2 1/2 stars. I would have thought it was actually a 3. Loved the location, very close to the beach.

This hotel had comfortable rooms, free and delicious breakfast, free parking, within walking distance to an amazing beach, and restaurants. It was a perfect hotel for our vacation. We will be going back.

The hotel was just okay. The staff did their best to be helpful. I really think someone isn't keeping up on the maintenance. The water took forever to get hot in the showers. The heaters didn't work in either room. We froze the first night. Was not fun. Reminded me of camping. I don't know what happened from the last time (last year) that we stayed there. Definitely not the same hotel. We will be staying in San Diego again next month. I don't think we are going to stay at this hotel again. Too much trouble for the price we paid. I really think we deserve a refund. ...

This is a good-value, low to mid-level hotel. Rooms are clean and fine. Showers big and clean- not tiny baths with feeble shower heads. Staff were friendly. Hotel is not cookie cutter. Has character. Good location. Very good value, altogether an uneventful, good stay.
