Hotel Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Gulfside Fort Myers Beach
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.May 9, 2013

Nice for price. Construction started well before checkout causing loud hammer drilling into concrete just outside room. Staff didn't allow use of printer for extremely important documents that were under deadline. No lee way and just got a flat unhelpful " no".

This is not a Three Star hotel. This is not your expected Holiday Inn. The two story facility appears to be a nicely wrapped, older Quality Inn. The room was attractively furnished, but the old air conditioning unit was one of the two factors that prompted us to leave the hotel after one night, foregoing the pre-paid second night we had contracted for. The musty, moldy smell given off by the a/c was too much to bear, as it raised concerns about what we were breathing. The second factor was the noise caused by clearly excessive drinking which led to our being awakened at 2AM by the absolutely frightening screams of a three (?) year old who had fallen down the motel's concrete steps, although the parents, whom we had observed earlier at the restaurant on the hotel premises, appeared unconcerned. Proximity to the beach is a very positive feature, but it was not enough to persuade us to remain for our second night. ...

Hotel fell well below expectations for a three star property. Hotel is very worn and poorly maintained. There was a large smelly pile of garbage in the parking lot. Staff was unfriendly. I don't expected to be wowed at a three star property, but the condition of the hotel should at least be sanitary.

Excellent location right on the beach. Pool on the property was clean and water temperature was fine. The rooms could use some updates but are certainly functional. Beds were comfortable. Several shops and restaurants within walking distance.

There a shopping mall 2 blocks away, that has a few resturants, entertainment. Hotel not close to Times Square/pier..Tolley($.50/ea way) can take over an hour with traffic, even thou its only 4 miles away(can drive, $5-$10/park.) Think you better off staying near Times Sq. if you have children.

Old facility, but room clean, bed comfortable, bathroom was awesome. Furnishings were lacking, because of sand tile floor was always dirty. not very many TV channels, but staff was great!

Room was small, bathroom old and outdated linens, clean beds comfortable. Refrigerator didn't work and headboard fell down, noticed a lot of shabby repairs around the hotel, staff was friendly and pool and live band/tiki bar was cool.
